Something Wonderful: Meanwhile, in America, American women continue to carry the light.

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light

Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word
I ever with Thee, and Thou with me, Lord
Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one

Be Thou my battle shield, sword for the fight
Be Thou my dignity, Thou my delight
Thou my soul’s shelter, and Thou my high tower
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise
Thou my inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only, be first in my heart
High King of heaven, my treasure Thou art

High King of heaven, my victory won
May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s sun
Heart of mine own heart, whatever befall
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all

Be Thou my vision

Be Thou my vision
(Still be my vision)

Be Thou my vision
(Still be my vision) (O Ruler of all)

Such wonderful simplicity creating a joyful noise!

  • Jack May 15, 2022, 8:14 AM

Simply beautiful and a lovely way to begin a Sunday morning.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Thanks for finding that for us.

    • Mike Austin May 15, 2022, 6:34 PM

Indeed. God made the world. The beauty of His creation is manifest wherever one looks. But one must open one’s eyes. A blind man sees nothing.

When our tormenters have all sodomized, aborted, gender-queered, betrayed, murdered and lied themselves to death, it will be families like the Petersons who will inherit the earth.

Couldn’t agree more. What a joy to see these beautiful, sweet spirited girls in contrast to the trash in the culture

  • Max Wiley May 15, 2022, 9:53 AM

Thanks so much of this. How can it be I am unaware of these folks? The sheer musical talent on display is draw dropping.

It’s classical and jazz Sunday here. Took a break to listen,,,,,,, very nice,,,,,, these groups are” American priceless”, woven into the fabric of our society. We enjoy traveling to often odd and unusual places for music. locally “ Well Bend Or”. We have a young man who drags his Grand Piano around on a trailer, behind his beater pickup truck.

we have tickets to revisit his performance here in Southern Oregon, in the Alvirod ?Desert.

We’ve taken our grand boys to his shows for three years now. His peeps issue headphones, one can walk around for a few miles looking at natures wonders while listening to him make awesome piano music. Classical from the greats!

I’m having a brain fart, can’t recall his name. I’ll find it and share it. His concerts are across OREGON in some spectacular places.

The Alvirod Desert is absolutely amazing, floating flats, punctuated sometimes by land yacht sailors. Amazing really, low fast and appears as if their sailing in a dream. For me it’s a bucket list adventure. I sail, just don’t land sail,,,,,,, yet!

I’ve got to manage my time, I’ve somehow torn the tendons in my right hip away from the bone, the seal around the actual hip bone socket is destroyed. Surgery’s gonna have to wait, it’s summer, I got lots of playing to do!

Surgery in Nov might work. The down side is the pain, my god the pain is almost unbearable, without my pain meds.

    Hunter Noack.
Classical music in the wild. He’s all over the west coast, his schedules out if interested. We would also like to see him in Charlston, Oregon overlooking the pacific. The crashing waves on the rocks add amazing value, for us.

“Whatever you do, make it sacred.” — an old colleague of mine.

    • Dirk May 15, 2022, 4:47 PM

Francis, ima steal that. I’m feeling especially blessed this past week.

I’m promoting a Vintage Motocross race, a Cross Country race and a Trials event in Lakeview Oregon on June 11/12. I’ve worked with the city for a year now. Laying in three tracks. Things have gone extremely well. So we’ll I’m kinda wondering when the other shoes going to fall.

Anyway any and all profits my wife and me earn, will be donated to local Lakeview projects. We won’t keep a dime. We’re where we need to be.

Here’s the kicker. Last Tuesday night I was at the city council meeting shared all the details, was about to leave “ it’s 120 miles home”, when the city manger handed me paperwork. I smiles thanking her, and asked what is it, did I forget something.

No it’s a hotel tax grant, the city shares with folks whom are bringing in tourism. Your brining in LOTS of people. Dirk fill it out, have it in by Friday close of business. Ok. But how much. The manager says how about 15, ok 15, the mayor walks over saying make it 20. Ok two thousand, thank you that will help mucho.

No Dirk 20.000 dollars! It’s rare but I was genuinely at a loss for words. 20.000 dollars?. Holly Cow. I’m stunned. No idea how to write a grant, I hate asking anybody for anything, “ I needed five letters in support from the community. Oooo boy. I need help. So I asked god for help on the drive home.

Local grant writers called me, volunteered to pen the grant. I call my friend asking who I should ask for a letter in support. My friend says I’ll handle that. My organization AHRMA, advertises nation wide, and I’ve been networking with Lakeview community organizations.

All my paper forms race sign ups, scoring sheets, etc etc,,,,,,are being copied for free. “ Chamber of commerce”.

Like a true miracle five letters were prepared and presented to me Friday at 1500, my insurance forms, our advertisement it all happened, with an entire 15 minutes to spare. This is literally a god thing!

I dropped the packet off, the door are shut, everybody in city hall, “ like five people” look at me and saying we have been rooting for you from day one. Nobody has ever done this, AND donated the earnings.

And some how they knew my wife and me had already set up a college scholarship for a young man or woman who’s going into the trades. We jokingly called it “ The Williams Family Trust”, I found it amusing. Their is no trust, anyway we had not mentioned we gave the first 500.00 out of pocket. The second scholarship will come out of the after race proceeds.

We have a goal for five grants yearly, two in Lakeview, one in Paisley OREGON and two in Christmas Valley OREGON, all within the county.

We’ve been AHRMA members for 30 years. Nobody in this organization has ever heard of such a wonderful contribution from a community.

This my friends is truly a blessing !

      Dirk

Great work, Dirk. I believe it is Alvord Desert.

Thank you, Gerard. Beauty for the ears, eyes and soul.

It’s definitely worth visiting their YouTube channel. They have many videos there including covers of Jolene, Bohemian Rhapsody, and one of my favorites, the Cranberries’ Dreams. Yes, her voice doesn’t have the resonance of Dolores O’Riordan, but few do. Hang with it to 3:50 and the outro, which IMHO bests the Cranberries version.

You can also hear the links between Irish/Celtic music and bluegrass.

“American women continue to carry the light” and the fight.

How about this woman friends: Priscilla Giddings, A-10 pilot and running for Lt. Governor of Idaho.

    https://www.giddingsforidaho.com/

And she is giving away an AR-15. My kind of gal.

    • ghostsniper May 16, 2022, 4:24 AM

She’ll fold, and fit right in like all the others.
They all start out honorable then the grift slowly converts them.
      every.single.time.
voting is a mental salve that makes you think you are doing the right thing and it’s very addictive

      • Mike Austin May 16, 2022, 5:55 AM

As the US government is currently comprised, there is no cure for this. Once in Washington, they stay in Washington. The grift is too strong, too tempting. Those with a vested interest in keeping things as they are are buried too deeply. The 3-letter agencies keep watch—literally—to insure that everyone toes the line.

        • Terry May 16, 2022, 10:21 AM

If you are referring to Priscilla Giddings, please check out her background and all the fake lawsuits against her for fighting for the citizens of Idaho. And, being she is a six year State Representative of Idaho, you can check her voting history. She is a perfect example of what our side needs. Read about Mrs. Giddings and look in your mirror. I looked in my mirror and know I can not hold a candle to that woman.

“voting is a mental salve that makes you think you are doing the right thing and it’s very addictive”

You may be the first in the line of people who gave up before even throwing a punch. The armchair quarterback who never played the game. Just saying it the way I see it. A man is either in the fight as a participant or a spectator/gambler. Spectators are wannabe types but fear they may be wrong and lose. Just give your blank ballot to your arch enemy. He knows what is at stake. I do not think you know the stakes of this fight. No one can hide from the enemy.

Or, you can lead the charge to DC and start the next revolution. No voting necessary. A sort of put-up or shut-up and stay locked in your home decision. “They” know who and where we are. You included. Best get a good book on US history (Revolutionary War) and find out who we were as a people.

        Excellent start here: https://www.amazon.com/Paul-Reveres-David-Hackett-Fischer/dp/0195098315

I have made a many mistakes in my life. Some of the most important decisions turned out to be incorrect. I can admit this.

      • Terry May 16, 2022, 7:33 PM

Priscilla Giddings is a stronger person than 99% of men. To have guts to operate the most feared weapon and magnet for offensive fire over any battle ground takes a superior human being. My wife and I know Priscilla personally. Her husband is a farmer and they have two small children.

Among her MANY accomplishments, she is a record holding power lifter. Look up Priscilla’s bio. She has taken an absolute storm of fake attacks after announcing her run for Lt. Governor of Idaho. Tomorrow the 17th is primary day here. We are with her. She does not sit on a big fat chair dreaming up excuses for not being an involved American.

Oh, and she is beautiful, in every way.
