Holly Cow, amazing, simply wonderful. GV, now you’ve done it, I’m digging out the James Brown stuff.

Quick story. Many years ago now,,,,, My close friends were in NYC, went to the Apollo and purchased me a James Browns greatest great hits. Maybe 11 inch’s tall with everything he did. They got home, and gifted me with the collection the day after Christmas.

Only to learn later in the day that The Great James Brown had died Christmas Day. I cherish this collection like no other.

As a youmg teen I pretty much grew up with my Mexican friends, families. I use to get to go to Sacramento to the Mexican dances, at an Armory.

James Brown was often the headliner. What a thrill even as a young teen. The guy was special.

My pro basketball nephew who’s 6.9 loves James Brown even more then I. I recently gifted Nichols with that James Brown collection. I gave him a tube amp a pre amp Vandersteen speakers and a Korcera ? CD player.

He played pro ball in Europe Japan and a short stint in China. He playssome part of that collection everyday. He’s a high school coach now. In Rohnert Park Ca, The kids love it.

    James, we miss you man.
