Even towards the end, as we dissolved into the petty bickering and idle entertainments that come with having far too much leisure and money, many among us were still striving to make it higher, finer, brighter, better, and more beautiful.
Even towards the end, the best of us declined to give up and pressed on. “Where to? What next?”

High energy video.
At Family Worship Center this is one of those songs that if you close your eyes and pour your heart into the lyrical content something amazing happens.
You become absent from your surroundings. You can’t tell the moment you leave except when the worship ends and your eyes open and you have to return. It takes a moment to reorient where I’m at.
It’s like you’re singing in the audience of the One who created this world.
Nothing else matters except the fact you’re in the presence of the Creator of the universe and His eyes met yours.
That’s why I return to church every week, hungry for that time when I meet God. Sadly it happens infrequently to that extent.
But if it never happened ever again in my life I feel so thankful that the curtain was pulled back for me to see and know that the time will come when I never have to leave.
Then you know it’s all true, this present world is not all there is. Because you just got lost in Worship and found the One who knows me, loves me enough to take my punishment for a life of sin.
I know whereof you speak, brother.
So do I…it’s such a sublime out-of-time experience that there are few people who I can explain it to. I know in those moments that this life is just a training place for souls and that something wonderful awaits us all.
Similar message. Less repetitive.
Love divine, all loves excelling,
joy of heav’n, to earth come down,
fix in us thy humble dwelling,
all thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, thou art all compassion,
pure, unbounded love thou art.
Visit us with thy salvation;
enter ev’ry trembling heart.
Breathe, O breathe thy loving Spirit
into ev’ry troubled breast.
Let us all in thee inherit,
let us find the promised rest.
Take away the love of sinning;
Alpha and Omega be.
End of faith, as its beginning,
set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty, to deliver,
let us all thy life receive.
Suddenly return, and never,
nevermore they temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
serve thee as thy hosts above,
pray, and praise thee without ceasing,
glory in thy perfect love.
Finish, then, thy new creation;
pure and spotless let us be.
Let us see thy great salvation
perfectly restored in thee.
Changed from glory into glory,
till in heav’n we take our place,
till we cast our crowns before thee,
lost in wonder, love and praise.
