NEW Real World Address for Complaints, Brickbats, and Donations
I Return to the Place I was Born
From my youth up I never liked the city.
I never forgot the mountains where I was born.
The world caught me and harnessed me
And drove me through dust, thirty years away from home.
Migratory birds return to the same tree.
Fish find their way back to the pools where they were hatched.
I have been over the whole country,
And I have come back at last to the garden of my childhood.
My farm is only ten acres.
The farm house has eight or nine rooms.
Elms and willows shade the back garden.
Peach trees stand by the front door.
The village is out of sight.
You can hear dogs bark in the alleys,
And cocks crow in the mulberry trees.
When you come through the gate into the court
You will find no dust or mess.
Peace and quiet live in every room.
I am content to stay here the rest of my life.
At last I have found myself.

I wanted that to be funny, but it is the sad truth of stupid.
I wonder, how much carbon monoxide and how long would it take?
The Uber-correct nature of these people will be troweled into the cement if their true party leadership ever gets to real power in our nation. Socialism is a tool to reduce all citizens to the lowest common denominator and not one to elevate them in status.
This convention is a joke only because we have seen in our history too many times that movements with the word ‘Socialist’ bulldoze the class system of an entire nation leaving starvation and human rights abuses as its trademark.
It is my fervent hope that America is never overrun by people who claim that they are socialist. It is the political equivalent of Ebola.
That phrase “comrades”… where have I heard that before?
Severian at Rotten Chestnuts reminds us of a figure from history, and how he’s relevant to the DSA:
Speaking Of Stalin
“If these…organisms… are “The Revolution,” then what could we possibly have to worry about?
Lots.”
Oh, damn it. Sorry, Gerard.
Thanks for the fixing, Gerard.
