Solutions: Patterson and Sniper

Dan Patterson May 3, 2022, 3:52 AM

This treason and treachery will not end until they fear you.

Does it look like “they” are afraid of “you”?

No dipshit, they are afraid of nothing and they are laughing at you. Laughing at your intense interest in the shiny baubles strewn on the floor to distract you (Wuhan lab, injection of who-knows-what, pronouns, climate change. All bullshit meant to deflect and camouflage). And brother is it ever working! If school-aged kids had been given anything close to an education over the past generations the wave of outrage would be unstoppable by now. But that has not happened, and it’s been, what, 50 years in the making?

So let’s put another group of arthritic granddads and great aunts together, let’s make another empty-handed firm pledge to support and defend the Constitution, rally around a flag pole blue hair puffed, squinting through CVS readers, and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Let “them” know you are by God standing firm, here and now. Yessir. You know, grass-roots activism. Popular front. Voice of the people, and all that.

Yeah. Like the Tea Party, like the Truckers Freedom Convoy, like the Election Fraud Investigation, like the Constitutional right to a speedy trial for the Jan 6th protesters.

Let’s not, and say we did. It’ll do about as much good as signing another petition, calling your representative, and writing mean tweets. In other words nothing. No it will not mean a damned thing to stand on your principles, let the world know you have prayerful focus, and worry about where the culture we once knew is buried. No it will not.

And here is another piece of truth for you: God does NOT have this, God is not involved in these actions; they are the end product of tyranny and evil from men and it is up to men to stop it. No storm is coming, no fury unleashed, and no secret army of angels will descend to rescue us from our torment. Stop believing that fairy tale nonsense.

What does matter is action. The past century is a graveyard for people who fretted and fumed, stomped and dithered, and never made a decision, never took action. What that action is, well, that is a damned good question because the culture is against acts of self defense. Do you want to be that guy, the one with a black hoodie and an AR scaring the neighbors? Are you the one targeted by DHS because you talked about the DC Swamp in a bar? What action can be taken? Hell, if I knew that I wouldn’t be at my keyboard venting like a maniac at 6:30 on Tuesday.

Invasions and mutiny are not stopped by words, they are not prevented by firm demands for truth and justice. They are stopped by shot and shell, history proves it and please show me where I’m wrong.

I have no answers for what action can reasonably be taken, and I am firmly aware of the risks of speaking against the present administration with all the goons and fools and petty tyrants; piss on every one of them. Like most of you, I am looking for a solution that does not involve me getting my ass beaten by cops and my life ruined, but like the patriots of 1776 those options may now be behind us.

Agreed Dan.

Outwardly there is little any of us can do, in my opinion. The danger of being harassed, caged, or killed are too great to be the squeaky wheel. There are at least 435 criminals on the top of the ladder and they see no need to change their ways. The rest of must make our way as we see fit. I’m pretty certain things will continue as is, and get worse along the way, until such time that the top heavy ladder topples. Little by little, or all at once.

For some time now, at least a decade, I have been cultivating local relationships but with extreme caution. The walls, and the trees, have eyes and ears. As with Ukraine, as with NYFC, as with LA, etc., I have little concern as they do not directly effect me. Same with Hollywood, academia, most popular science, sports, and on and on. All of these things and more are so much static in pipeline of mostly irrelevant “information” we are bombarded with constantly. It’s like standing in a horizontal hale storm hoping to catch a walnut with the teeth while avoiding the gnats.

We’re digging and improving earth this week and next and hoping our efforts now will be rewarding at the end of summer. I’d like to have a milk cow, 4 horses, 20 chickens, but our meager acreage won’t support all of that. So I associate with people that do have that stuff and perhaps I can trade some of my things and my skills, and learn some new things.

With comments like these, and hundreds of others like it all over that I read, it seems like there’s a need for someone to write the 21Cen liberty-objective version ofWhat is to be Done?.

With the entire international order and our own governments exceedingly hostile to our people, where do we start at and what do we do to regain our ancient and honorable liberties?

I’ll just give you a simple for instance. Back in the day, the American governments didn’t have to do anything to bring the automobile to life, other than to build and pave the roads. All the rest of automobiles and their support infrastructure was handled by business large and small.

Today the Federals think they have to lead the development of EV battery technology to the tune of $8B of our money. The Federals and States have to micromanage the introduction and placement of EV charging stations. I don’t think a government cheese EV battery will ever be as good as what Tesla keeps producing and improving, but I’m sure GM and Ford will appreciate not having to compete outright with Tesla.

No matter what it is, big or small, the Federals think that they must control it.
Our current situation is known. What is to be done to better ourselves?

    • Vanderleun May 4, 2022, 4:33 PM

Now THAT is a splendid idea for a book.

  • Mike Austin May 4, 2022, 4:45 PM

So much “doom and gloom”. Is that all we have? Is that what we are reduced to? If so then we are mere puppets: they act, we respond. Is that how wars are won? To read the above one might get the impression that all is lost, that we are doomed. A question: How many victorious generals in all of History talked this way? The language in the comment is one of defeat, of hopelessness, of emotional collapse. The war has hardly begun but those who talk such talk have already surrendered. They are as our own “Tokyo Rose”.

Breitbart called himself “a happy warrior”. Be such. And stop the doom and gloom. Whom does such an attitude serve? If doom and gloom is all that you see, then you are not looking closely enough.

    • ghostsniper May 4, 2022, 6:02 PM

How did you miss my last paragraph?
      Doom and gloom?
Yes, it is everywhere, haven’t you noticed?
The only change I can enact is right here on my own little slice of earthly heaven.
I have no control of anything beyond my fence lines, nor do I want to.

What I do want is for adults to start acting like adults rather than errant children.
I want politicians to stop behaving as criminals, and many less of them.
The only control any of us “we the people” have over the criminal politicians is the vote and as we have seen even that no longer works. So what is to be done Mike? Tell me.

      My solution is for ME.
      Not you.
Your solution is for you to figure out.
I will never chastise you for your choice in that regard.

And I plainly reject your notion that my speaking of reality today is imaginary doom and gloom.
If you have a problem with my path and offer none better, please keep your insults to yourself as I find them too gloomy and I have a lot of work ahead of me to put up with inane distractions. Yes, I found your comment insulting and it offered nothing worthwhile, little more than a troll and I KNOW you are much better than that.

      • Mike Austin May 5, 2022, 2:13 AM

My comment was not meant for you.

      • Javaguy May 5, 2022, 8:38 PM

I have been coming to this blog for some time now and have enjoyed reading the articles but enjoyed the posts even more. I believe that this is the first time that I have posted anything but felt the need to reply to Ghostsniper’s comment. I had been involved in grassroots politics, helping to organize a tea party organization in the 5th district of Virginia back in 2009. My wife and I even went to the D.C. Tea Party Rally in 2009 organizing four busloads of people to attend with us. Our organization and several others in the district were able to make sure our Democrat Congressman Tom Perriello only served one term. This gave me hope that maybe the grassroots, “Tea Party” could affect real change in Washington. Unfortunately, that hope was short-lived.

In the decade since I have only seen things get worse. I tend to agree with Dan and Ghostsniper in that I am at a loss for what can be done to change the direction our country is headed. For myself, we are doing everything we can to be as independent as possible. We are expanding our garden, learning to preserve food, stocking up on necessities, and not relying on our fragile infrastructure. I am rapidly approaching retirement age and do not see myself taking up arms and marching on Washington, however, I will state that I will die defending my home and family from anyone trying to take them away from me. The best thing I see myself doing is being prepared for any eventuality, which I believe is the best thing that people can do.

        • ghostsniper May 6, 2022, 4:19 AM

Welcome, Javadood. You’ll fit in well here and I’m sure we appreciate your comments. As you have noted, political avenues no longer work. The internal criminality is too great. The eventuality is to crash and burn. Your last paragraph is the unfortunate truth for those of us with eyes to see, and brains to think, and muscles to work. Each of us, even together, cannot save this country but with the right attitude we may be able to save ourselves. In that effort, over time, maybe we can start to come together. Form small tribe now if you can, but if you can’t, continue the best you can. Peace, out.

They say there’s a war going on just 300 klicks away. (Sounds a lot closer in miles, so I’ll just stick with klicks, if you don’t mind.) Haven’t driven down to take a look myself, but I’ve seen the refugees…mostly women and children…dragging suitcases behind them. Fleeing to a future that’s shrouded in the unknown rather than face the devil’s hordes. Smart move.

Had a bunch stay at the church, too. They’re gone now. NGOs doing a good work, I guess. I think about it sometimes. You know, what life must’ve been like for them just a couple of months ago. What a difference a day makes.

My daughter’s supposed to go on a school trip for a couple of days. My wife says, “What about the Russians?” I see the real concern in her eyes. She knows. She’s lived under their boot before. “Don’t worry,” I say, “NATO’s got us covered.” (I hope my tone doesn’t reflect my doubts.) But even though I doubt, I just can’t bring myself to concede to fear. I guess I’m just a prisoner of hope.

I have an answer to your question, Ghostsniper. Really, I think I do.

We’ve got to change the hearts and minds of those around us. One at a time. From darkness to light. I’ve been in that battle for over thirty years. On three different continents, too. I’ve managed to stay out of prison, but not out of persecution.

It’s not so bad…when your cause is just. I suppose I may wind up in a jail cell or a re-education camp one day. I’d rather not, but if that’s where I’m headed, then it’s ok. My cause is just. The America we grew up in is long gone. (I’ll be 69 this year.) It’s gone. In the past. It will never return.

What comes next may be better or worse. Time will tell. But whatever, I live in light of eternity now. I take the long view. The gospel of Christ allows me to do that. It changes one heart at a time…forever. Get in the work, Sir. We can make a difference, again, one person at a time.

Mayorkas lies comically boldfaced to Kennedy’s questions in the House with the utter impugnity the agencies have assumed as those sworn to protect us provide silent endorsement.

I never get the feeling of doom and gloom while I am here at Gerards site. Anger? Yes. Frustration? most definitely. But I also get a sense of defiance coupled with an attitude of I am living my life the way I want. I went to my grandson’s baseball game last evening. After striking out 7 straight times in previous games he got his 1st hit that got him his 1st RBI. He stole a base and scored sliding into home. The excitement and happiness from him after the game is a salve against the encroaching evil. So is this site with Gerard’s writing and great comments and insight from many. They can’t and won’t take it all away. I hope you all have a good day.

Ghost, it’s a mostly good comment. Absent God, the tyrants aren’t evil. You see that, right?

I am thinking hard about the current state of affairs. I haven’t got “the answers,” either. But some light is coming in under the door jam. I will write my better thoughts about the what to do, very soon.

Meanwhile, here are some of my current thoughts. If Trump gets in as president (it’s on the BINGO card of possibilities) then what will his new policy be towards the Russian War? More importantly, will he employ Casey’s Strategy Day 1 in the DeepState War? What is that? I’m glad you asked. While Trump is walking down Pennsylvania Avenue, during his inauguration day events, a team of his men are going into the alphabet agencies, seizing the hard drives, laying gold-foil envelopes on the desks of the corrupt (pink slips inside), and then chaining and padlocking the doors to the FBIATFBIADHSCIA

    Doom & Gloom-

Doom & gloom is ‘one’ of the psychological tools the CIA has developed above and beyond any similar population control methodology in history.

Don’t get suckered friends. Be happy and content up to the point where the creeps in “control” think they have us in a death kneel. Read what you can concerning formation psychosis and do not follow the sheeple who are scared shitless.

The creeps have a long haul to travel before they subdue me and possibly you too. Do not comply. Laugh in their (gov personnel) faces. Mock them. Ridicule is your friend, use it with gusto. Start at your city hall and county commission meetings.

Keep smiling and pack a nice brass knuckle.

        “You will be assimilated”.
Listen to that soulless wench and tell me again about how hearts can be turned by the very clear, clean power of positivity. Can the power of someone’s personality purify the poison in her veins?
Listen still as they laugh. And laugh.
        Doom and gloom, my ass.
Tell me again, who’s winning that war?

It’s been a cool spring on the west coast of Canada Some call it the wet coast which it surely can be, others the left coast which likewise it can be. What it is is a place with a temperate climate, not too hot in the summer, not too cold in the winter. If you like snow there’s plenty of mountains., it’s still snowing on Grouse today. I walk my friends dog for her as she is 75 and at 70 pounds of muscle this shepherd cross is too much for her to handle. The last few days the smell of the budding flowers, the very small ones on certain bushes has been especially pleasing to me as the ruffian and I make our rounds. That and the light rains which bless us. A wide brimmed hat will keep the rain from going down your neck.

    from Ignazio Silone:
“The Land of Propaganda is built on unanimity,” he said. “If one man says, ‘No,’ the spell is broken and public order is endangered. The rebel voice must be stifled.”

“Even if the voice is that of a poor, solitary sick man?”

    “Even then.”

“Even if it belongs to a peaceful man who thinks in his own way, but does nothing evil apart from that?”

    “Even then.” …

“In the Land of Propaganda,” he said, “a man, any man, any little man who goes on thinking with his own head, imperils public order. Tons of printed paper repeat the government slogans; thousands of loud-speakers, hundreds of thousands of manifestoes and leaflets, legions of orators in the squares and at the crossroads, thousands of priests from the pulpit repeat these slogans ad nauseam, to the point of collective stupefaction.
But it is enough for one little man to say ‘No!’ in his neighbor’s ear, or write ‘No!’ on the wall at night, and public order is endangered.”…

“And if they catch him and kill him?” the girl asked.

“Killing a man who says ‘No!’ is a risky business,” the priest replied, “because even a corpse can go on whispering ‘NO! NO! NO!’ with a persistence and obstinacy that only certain corpses are capable of. And how can you silence a corpse?”

Once again, I’m in agreement at ghost’s expression of frustration; but as with Casey and others I do not deny the hand of God in my world. I am daily enraged at what has happened to our country and am abashed at the joy the prospect of turning my wolf loose brings.
We build our tribes. We acquire the means and skills of independent subsistence. We hone our blades and resolve that when they come for us, they will pay. I believe they cannot afford the price we will extract from them and am afraid there will be no quarter given by us in their defeat.
