Who Am I? by Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
reading “Keep Off.”
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
in the universe.

The Vault
Take It Where You Find It
Men saw the stars at the edge of the sea
They thought great thoughts about liberty
Poets wrote down words that did fit
Writers wrote books
Thinkers thought about it
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
Many’s the road I have walked upon
Many’s the hour between dusk and dawn
Many’s the time
Many’s the mile
I see it all now
Through the eyes of a child
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
And close your eyes
Leave it all for a while
Leave the world
And your worries behind
You will build on whatever is real
And wake up each day
To a new waking dream
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Change, change come over
Change come over
Talkin’ about a change
Change, change
Change come over, now
Change, change, change come over
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light

Donald Trump donated his salary to fight the virus, Nancy Pelosi asked for a raise.
This is all you really need to know.
I’m willing to cut the guy some slack. That’s the clearest, most concise reporting by the main stream media that I’ve seen in 10 or 20 years.
hahah! Funny shit.
In the winter, though, you will ski right past the bison, whose attitude is more of a “I’m surviving” one than a “If you get between me and muh mama, or muh food, I will stomp you dead!” I have had that privilege and it is cool to be a few meters from these behemoths.
Yep. Smartest reporter out there. Promotion!
American buff are a great symbol of the US and if you have never been close to one, it’s a humbling experience. The ones I’ve been close to were, to the bull, nasty tempered and easily irritated.
But just think, the American Indians could slaughter them like they were pasture Herefords, while running them down over a dangerously broken prairie, at breakneck speed on the back of a half wild mustang and with home made bows and arrows.
In reply to Jack:
Riding nearly bareback–just a bit of animal hide between their inner thighs and the slippery side of the horse! Mostly that hide was used to protect their private parts–it’s softer than the back bone of a horse! Not much help when riding 20 mph on a half trained horse on uneven ground.
We know where the wild bunch hunker down. Drove off of the secondary road one spring/summer to see the herd. Saw three females and a male and got out of the car to get closer to take pictures. One of the females was in the process of giving birth. The old man stood between her and us–never blinked and never took his eyes off of us. We looked down and backed slowly into the car !
It truly be a small world: an 85 y.o. friend from Paw Paw sent me and unreadable (the digi format) link of an article written by an Italian. She doesnt do that kinda of thing often, so, yep! I’m gonna make an effort to figure out “why this one?”
