Six Seconds of an American Sunset and “We are not alone” Sung by the Oasis Chorale at Sandy Ridge Mennonite

Good night. Sleep tight. Carry on dreaming in God.

“We are not alone. We are not alone.
We are not alone. God is with us.

We are never alone (We are not alone 3x)
For (God is with us)
We (We are not alone 3x)
We are never alone
For (God is with us)

Now (We are not alone)
Through all our days(We are never alone)
(We are not alone. We are never alone)
Always (God is with us 2x)
For(ever and ever)
We are never alone

Are not alone. We are not alone.
We are not alone. God is with us.
We are not alone. We are not alone.
We are not alone. God is with us.

And (We are not alone 3x)
God will make us strong
For (God is with us)
We (We are not alone 3x)
We will press on
For (God is with us)

Now (We are not alone)
Through all our days(We are never alone)
(We are not alone. We are never alone)
Always (God is with us 2x)
For(ever and ever)
We are never alone

Are not alone. We are not alone.
We are not alone. God is with us.
We are not alone. We are not alone.
We are not alone. God is with us.”
Our (We are not alone. God is with us)
God is with us
Now

I pray he is still with the Taiwanese–because we sure aren’t there for them anymore.

No man is ever alone. He is protected by his Guardian Angels at all times. He is tempted by demons at all times. They see and make note of everything you do and of everything you think.

And God is always watching. Those five words are the most terrifying imaginable.

      Thanks for the reminder, Mike.

The fact that God is always watching – from the inside out, even – makes the powers of the panopticon state seem rather puny by comparison. If I am with God, all is well. If not, nothing that mankind can do could genuinely be worse than what I do to myself, no matter how much it may appear so at times.

      *sigh*
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner…

God alone – and any who He gives the gift to, such as Padre Pio – can read our thoughts. The demons cannot know what we are thinking, nor can our Guardian Angel, although our GA’s lifelong intimacy with us and it’s supreme intellect (as slime intellect is to humans, human intellect is to angels) it can “know” almost precisely what we are thinking and can anticipate our actions. Demons share a high degree of intellect they “come and go” throughout our lifetime that they lack intimacy with us and even a small amount of Good action can scandalize them.

Yes, God is always watching. He asks us to watch, too. “Watch and pray” he said in the garden. Are you watching?

Do not be scandalized by men or demons; scandalize the demons.

Yes, God is always watching. But take comfort & never forget, believers have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God. <

There is just something about acapella singing which can lift one’s spirit, and, when you think about it a bit it seems appropriate, as the first music must have been acapella.

The closing of that song rings true each moment of the day. “God is with us now, though it may not seem so in times of trouble. Stand firm!

    Truth. We are not alone.
    Thank you.
Now, a question about your sidebar. Where did you find the previously unknown (to me) Dylan extended lyrics to Chimes of Freedom?
They are more powerful than the standard lyrics.

Almost everyone in that video is descended from someone who came to America before 1800 and likely more than half still speak the German dialect of their ancestors.

Psalm 47:6 Sing praises unto God…

This was a magnificent expression of faith.
