The Grapes of Sour

So who is the man who will be the 45th president?
After a year and a half of erratic tweets and rambling speeches, we can’t be certain. We don’t know how Mr. Trump would carry out basic functions of the executive. We don’t know what financial conflicts he might have, since he never released his tax returns, breaking with 40 years of tradition in both parties. We don’t know if he has the capacity to focus on any issue and arrive at a rational conclusion. We don’t know if he has any idea what it means to control the largest nuclear arsenal in the world.
Here is what we do know: We know Mr. Trump is the most unprepared president-elect in modern history. We know that by words and actions, he has shown himself to be temperamentally unfit to lead a diverse nation of 320 million people. We know he has threatened to prosecute and jail his political opponents, and he has said he would curtail the freedom of the press. We know he lies without compunction. [Let's lynch these folks first.]

Grey Lady is one serious Douchebagette.

"We don’t know if he...."
=========================

Yes you do, stop lying.

He has been extremely successful in an extremely hostile environment for more than 40 years.

If the people of this country desire success then they shall have it.

The evil fear as we know it has been swept away.

Life will be good, if that is what you want.

He is certainly better prepared than the community organizer who never held a real job in his life; who just sat in the IL legislature and the US Senate doing squat during the eight years prior to moving into the Oval Office.

Fasten your seatbelts. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Oh my God, were going to make America great again. I can hardly wait. I went to bed early, I couldn't bear the stress. Wife and son woken me up at 1:30 and I am glad to be tired today. Thank you Donald Trump for taking on this job. You didn't have to, you could have just rexlaxed, enjoyed your children and grandchildren but you stepped up like many patriots before you. Godspeed my president.

I created a new emotion: relation

It's a combination of relief and elation = relation

Relief that that criminal wretch has been vanquished.

Elation that things might get a little better now.

I could be wrong on both counts, but for now we're dancing and grinning ear to ear and enjoying the sunshine as it chases the dark clouds away.

My wife was up til 4am watching this stuff, I crashed at close to midnight.

Posted by: ghostsniper at November 9, 2016 6:46 AM

Let the new day dawn. Let us know forget those that speak ill of us, those that are determined to divide us once again. The NY Times, and the rest, cannot bring us down unless we allow them to.

Let us move on, from them, and the others of like minds. We have no more time for you. We've got a country to rebuild, from the ashes they helped burn.

The city on the hill has no room for the malcontents, the bitter and those who choose to destroy instead of build.

We have work to do, join us if you want. But otherwise our ears are to filled with optimism to hear your repugnancy.

Little sleep = typos, sorry.

Is Barry going to pardon Hillary! and all her felonious minions?
I predict a Christmas Eve pardon of all of them, together with a commutation of every death sentence in the country by Obozo.
Hope I am wrong.

Krugman and the NYT ?

Yes, a serially successful businessman is unqualified.

And a gay, mulatto, poly-drug using Islamicist of no accomplishment, complete with a shrill, wide-assed harpy beard was totes qualed ! Totes.

I strongly second leelus' admonition. GMPI has 2 months left to screw the nation. Bank on it

Prepare Accordingly

If Trump's smart, he will keep the NYT and their ilk just as much in the dark as he has during the campaign. Those quislings like nothing better than spilling the beans on our Country's plans and intentions. Time to go back to conducting the Country's business without fanfare and making public pronouncements of outcomes, good and bad.

The Donald will need to put the Nation on a war footing. WE are at war with the leftist/globalists of the world. The enemy is within with great logistical resources. WE hold the power to win this war with relative ease, if the power is applied.

Them, and the horses they rode in on.

Mr. T's Top Priority: a biometric "Right To Vote" card, issued only to U.S. citizens, and required to cast a vote in any election that has federal candidates on the ballot. (And do it by decree — just like Obama has done dozens of times.)

Because if only citizens can vote, The Donald is a shoo-in for a second term.

Such a card will be coveted by everyone who has the right to vote. The rest will squeal, but that's just music to my ears. If they don't like our laws, they can move elsewhere.

Posted by: Smokey at November 9, 2016 12:16 PM

Now we need some (real) conservatives to start buying up and controlling the NYT, WashPo, LA Times, and so forth. Even the Chicago papers. Maybe a TV network/communications company or two, too.

First thing I'd like to see President Trump do is forbid any federal payments to sanctuary cities. I think that's the way the law is anyway, so it'd just be selective enforcement -- that is, selecting enforcement.

Posted by: OldFert at November 9, 2016 1:54 PM

I wish these people would just shut up. The blindness is stiffling. Obama prepared, Hillary, the incompetent, corrupt, evil secretary of state prepared. He is prepared because he has had the sense to ignore you.

Posted by: andre at November 9, 2016 9:12 PM

Yes, they are quite incorrect. Obama was the most unprepared, unqualified president to be elected in modern history, and I daresay he will hold that dubious honor long after I am dead.

But I'm sure they will protest that while Obama's unequivocal ineptitude is to be expected, he has on-the-job training, and indeed, Barry has been working on his presidential skills and his golf game with equal diligence (and with equal results), and if we could just find it in our hearts to give him another four or eight years, any day now he is bound to get the hang of it. Give a guy a break, woncha?

Posted by: Grizzly at November 9, 2016 10:29 PM

I wonder how much whoever wrote this for the NYT got paid from the Clinton Foundation or DNC for that insidious pile of lying crap.

"We know Mr. Trump is the most unprepared president-elect in modern history."
=========================

Right there.
I mentioned this before.
THIS must stop.
The NYT should be brought up on charges of defamation of character.
1) The NYT has publicly made a claim it cannot prove to be true and is therefore false.
2) The NYT did this for the reason of damaging Trumps reputation.

1) Is the infraction (libel)
2) Is the intent (motive)
3) Is the proof:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/09/opinion/donald-trumps-revolt.html?ref=opinion

I want to see this organization brought to it's financial knees and at the same time send a message to others contemplating doing the same illegal behavior.

The media MUST be held accountable for it's actions.

Posted by: ghostsniper at November 10, 2016 7:07 AM

"We know Mr. Trump is the most unprepared president-elect in modern history."

I would physically assault this bastard if he said this in my presence. After Obama, there are no standards for unpreparedness or incompetence.

Obama is literally the stupidest, most ignorant, and most unprepared man to ever get elected as "Precedent."
