It's probably nothing....

Amid Trump surge, nearly 20,000 Mass. voters quit Democratic party | Boston Herald

Your Say

I just realized this election is driving me mad: for example, I don't know if the MA Democrats are voting for Trump to support him or to make sure Hillary runs against someone (they believe) she can easily beat.

This election is driving us all mad. When you have Republicans suggesting they'd vote for a Marxist, and a third term of Obama, before they'd vote for a JFK-Democrat, you know you're well and truly down the rabbit hole.

I realize that a large part of it is the Internet and the inability of my mind to absorb so much data so fast: we're in a shit-storm of information. There's no longer any time for us to ponder before we act, and pondering is a valuable thing.

My life feels unreal to me right now, as though I were traveling at warp speed and the space-time continuum had been broken.

After this election, I'm going to lessen, or cease, my internet time and go smell the roses.

I can *identify* with much of what ahem said above.

My friend Steve said in frustration some 5 years ago, "There's too much information out there.", and I agree. The problem is the bad information, and good info that is repeated 1000's of times by all the narcissists. If Kanye farts in the wrong key 10,000 websites tell their version of it instantly and little else gets through.

I'll be moving on soon, probably within the next year or so. The web has worn out it's welcome and becoming more and more irrelevent each day.

Moving on to what, ghost? As the internet blossomed, TV, newspapers, print books, movies, clubs, church groups... whatever went, or finished going to pot big time. Nothing much out there anymore to give you a cultural/social lift.

Uncle Walter and "that's the way it is" satisfies most of the culture. But that's not for me. I would rather wade through the news sewage than listen to the alphabet news interpreters. Think of it as homeschooling for adults.

@BillH, back to what I was doing before the internet, some 20+ years ago. I've already been going in that direction for some time, and I keep finding new/old reasons to NOT be online.

I blow through this thing first thing in the morning, then check in several times a day, but I'm spending more and more time in the workshop, out in the woods, all things non-internet.

Cultural/social lift?
The more I see of that stuff the longer it takes to pull myself up out of the dumps.
This country has turned into a coast to coast ghetto and it sickens me. You can't turn the TV on any more without seeing over representation of negro's and criminals and just about everything else on all forms of media is marketing to the moon.

I've had enough, actually, too much.
Life is bigger than the internet, if you're willing to accept it. I am.

It's probably nothing...

But, I believe the American dream has vanished, - probably forever.

However, I would vote for the Trump RINO anyway, simply to see if Al Sharpton and Rosie O'Donnell will leave our country as promised. (Hopefully for Mahound's promised land)

Don't worry, it's very hard to kill a fat queer by throwing her out of a mud basement window.
