A member of the American Scientific Glassblowers Society, Kiva creates instruments for scientists who require one-of-a-kind designs for various experiments.

That is an extremely skilled, specialized skill. The vessels he makes have to hold exact amounts. If he makes a set of say, 3 beakers that hold exactly 1ml ea, it's one expensive set.

Calibration is everything.
