"Erasing the past is a popular past time with the lunatics."

Imagine it is the year 2050 and mobs of lunatics are pulling down the Washington Monument on the grounds that Washington was a racist slave holder.
Earlier they had stormed the National Archive and burned the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. These were deemed to be unwelcome reminders of the nations patriarchal past and violation of the new America. All around the country mobs are destroying anything that suggests a past not in line with the current modes of thinking. It sounds crazy, but erasing the past is a popular past time with the lunatics. The Soviets would airbrush people in and out of the the past whenever it suited them. The Nazis tried hard to recreate things like Christmas to fit the official Aryan narrative. In my lifetime, the 18th century has been rewritten to read like a first draft of Roots. Currently, our lunatics are creating a mythological past where homosexuals were enslaved on lavender plantation in the South, thus making the lunatic obsession with homosexuals an analog of the Civil Rights Movement.

Your Say

Doesn't sound all that crazy or even that distant in the future to me, the way things are headed in our society. Four years ago being uncertain on homosexual marriage was fine. Now its so evil you must be hounded out of work.

Let's see.. I've seen the first references to a MODERN "interpretation" of The Second Amendment.
The NEW definition of Affirmative Action, via. "usage".
And the "right" of women's appointment to the (ie)Supreme Court, because... vagina.
Then of course, there's the "Commerce" clause.

If anyone thinks this charade will last til 2050 they haven't been paying attention.

This experiment in human depravity will fail in less than 5 years and from many directions not just one.

The parachutist can ignore gravity for a spell but eventually principles will always have their way.
