"The fear of Hitler was back in full for the Bush years.

I still chuckle thinking about some of my liberal friends fretting over “BusHitler” trampling the Constitution.
The core of what these people believe starts with the end of the Constitution, yet they expected thinking people to take seriously their concerns for liberty. Listening to my friend Jim (a foaming at the mouth lefty) was like hearing a guard at Auschwitz fret over the plight of the Jews. But, that’s how cults work. They lack any capacity to self-examine." - - The Z Blog › Naomi Wolf is a Fascist Dolt

Ultimately this is one of the proofs that the left's positions are not based on facts and reality, but emotion and feeling. They feared and hated Bush, so they looked for words to put that fear into language they could chant about. How true it was is irrelevant; they felt it so it must be true, and really even if the facts don't fit, the deeper truth is what matters.

If pressed on it, they admit that Obama's policies are the same and they are upset by it, but they still pull that lever for him because they feel right doing it. They feel not racist, and like they care. They fear and hate Republicans, so anyone else is always better, even if they're worse.
