North Korea executes ‘traitor’ Uncle Jang Song Thaek

And does so with some vintage propaganda:
"Every sentence of the decision served as sledge-hammer blow brought down by our angry service personnel and people on the head of Jang, an anti-party, counter-revolutionary factional element and despicable political careerist and trickster.... However, despicable human scum Jang, who was worse than a dog, perpetrated thrice-cursed acts of treachery in betrayal of such profound trust and warmest paternal love shown by the party and the leader for him." | NK News – North Korea News

Now you see Song. Now you don't.

Wow, that was fast. How long has the kid been on the podium? a year maybe.

They got the guy behind Uncle Jang too.

Uncle Jang Dang Wang was in charge of Twinkie Procurement.

Lil Kim, deep down, will be worried. There's a chance one day he will be airbrushed out of NK history too, exactly like uncle. Just a patch of photoshopped wall where his excited little self is standing now.

That's the trouble with revolutions. Once they learn how to manipulate photos there's no point in keeping you around.

I heard commentary two days ago, mirthful NPR commentary, that Uncle Jang had "swagger" and it was very seriously harshing Kim's calm. Jang's swagger and more open show of power was considered as becoming a faction. Faction! No time for that!

Why worse than a dog? I thought dogs were pretty damn good.

Potsie - They are if they're cooked NK style.

tripletap; I think he did.... while he was in the guy's chair.

I always love how these totalitarian guys yell about how evil the guy has been his whole life, only for himself and totally corrupt... why was he in power that long? Was it that the government is so incompetent it didn't notice, so corrupt it was in on it with him, or is it all a lie? There's no good side to any of this.

In the end, there can be only Un.

Maybe Uncle Jang ate his last brownie...?
