Bugging out in a live-aboard sailboat

Anyone who takes this option should not be criticized for 'cutting and running'.
At the end of the day, we are about liberty, and that is the exercise of such. Much as it would be great if there was a battle line of freedom to join, there isn't. There is a mass of overweight selfish entitled citizenry, the statists/tyrannists, some selfish preppers, and small groups of actual liberty minded warriors. So it's not as if you are deserting something, other than the ideal of America, because there is no network or army, or group, to actually desert. It's just a bunch of bickering people on the internet. I wish it were otherwise. ol remus and the woodpile report

"Anyone who takes this option should not be criticized for 'cutting and running'."
I for one could not disagree more.
"..it would be great if there was a battle line of freedom to join, there isn't."
Really? Then don't bother to vote, either at the ballot box, or with your money.
Don't speak up the next time the thought police are trying to shame, ostracize or otherwise enforce political correctness or some other form of thought control.

And for God's sake, don't stand up and speak out on what you believe!
No, no, no. Be quiet, stay under the radar don't make a scene.
Slip quietly away, all the while telling yourself that it's not really worth it.
Just a bunch of overweight, out of shape, bickering losers on the internet. Phonies in camos with their MREs and 10-22's. Bitter clingers!! No don't engage any one and try to sway them, or fight back against the encroaching silent oppression. Censor yourself!! Better yet, just run away!
I don't understand the mindset of those type of thoughts. The battle lines couldn't be clearer. The battle is for the mind & soul of this nation, this world, this civilization. Are individual liberties the inalienable rights that the founding fathers said they were, or just so much small print to be negotiated away, for the greater good of course. The fight hinges around the primacy of individual rights & freedom versus submission of those rights & freedoms to the collective. For the greater good of course.
To falsely lament there are only "small groups of actual liberty minded warriors" is a cop out to grease the skids for the bullshit excuse that it really isn't worth it, so as to justify cutting and running.
There are many folks neither selfish or entitled who will do all they can to save freedom and individual liberties and the constitutional form of government we had. They aren't the community organizers or professional activists of the left because they have jobs, families, and responsibilities that keep them busy. But I suspect that when push really comes to shove, as it rapidly seems to be, they will be there in numbers larger than most imagine. Besides, don't forget those of the left, who are attempting to take control who stand for what many are against, were once a small unpopular minority. They didn't give up. They made that Gramscian long march. They believed and they fought, to win. To desert, and that IS what it is, no matter how much lipstick you put on that pig, is saying by your actions that they have won, they were right all along, hence they are better. So go ahead and run, it's the boomer generation's signature move. But where will you go?

If you can't protect individual liberties without being coerced into joining a mob then they have already won.

Why can't I find the article you're referring to at the Woodpile?
