Shopping at Penneys. Sorry: JCP. Sorry, Penneys

I got a good deal. Thirty percent off!

I tried to engage the clerk with some conversation about the repricing, how it must have been a lot of work to go through everything again, but he had no interest in talking and seemed allergic to eye contact. It’s as if the entire company is demoralized from top to bottom, going through the motions, walking through the graveyard, not even bothering to whistle anymore. -- LILEKS (James) :: The Bleat.

J.C. Penney vice president of brand, design & trend Nick Wooster (left) reportedly will be replaced by his predecessor, Ken Mangone.

"Ken Mangone" is played by Dax Shepard.

Hey, Penney's put all their money where Nick Wooster's mouth had been.

And now they're finding that some things are forever. Like herpes.

I visited a retailer on behalf of my company that was just what the writer described. We got our receivables in line and let a competitor take the business. They crowed and beat their chests right up to the Chapt 11 filing. Heh.

Just from his appearance, I don't think I would put Nick Wooster in charge of anything but his two hands, a flashlight, and his own dick.
