Somehow, the image looks as if it deserves something better than a reflexive "scary clowns" joke. It makes me remember that the first time I didn't even pretend a clown was funny was the first time I saw one of the European ones. Not scary, simply depressing, absorbing all the joy from the air. Judging them from Italian films is unfair, perhaps.
