It puzzles me that so much of what I and many others see in Obama, those personal qualities that alarm us, are seemingly invisible to the vast majority of his admirers. It's a bit like the ability to detect PTC by its bitter taste. Some have the trait and some don't.

I think it is the same way with people who can not see the big government ideology of Bush and Reagan, if you don't want to see it, it is invisible. You want to believe that some politician cares about you.

Universal suffrage. Obama got it, we didn't. We still don't. First it changes what an elected official can say, then it changes what he can think.
