Trends Don't Make a Matriarchy

Statistics showing the rise of women and fall of men are sobering, but Rosin is really only pointing out trends
— when and if and how they translate into real-world power is vague. And as she concedes, women account for only 3 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs, 17 percent of members of Congress, and 20 of the 180 heads of state. Matriarchy? Really? No. The world's leading exporter of absurdity has shown the way: Women in Saudi Arabia earn more than half of all undergraduate and doctoral degrees — then they have to be driven to their jobs. -- Stephen Marche on the Contempt of Women

Your Say

So, men need someone to fuck. Women need a relationship. Use this as a guideline and the rest will fall into place.

What women don't realize is that the percentage of them who are worth knowing has been in precipitous decline since around 1970 or so.

Guys have never been too stupid to figure out that fucking is easy. Once you give up on the concept of adult love, melodrama is replaced by a certain wistfulness, that's all. Nothing else changes.

Get real, there is a reason why Mad Men is so popular. This metro-sexual bullshit is way too old. We're just waiting for the wheels to fall off this three-card-monty cart we call civilization, then those bitches will get back in line just like that.
