Thinking "Christie?" Think Again, Schmucks!

Christie's combativeness against New Jersey's embedded unions sent shills up my, and Ann Coulter's, legs.
She has yet to fully shake them off. In an era of equivocating political pussies, Christie is a breath of, well, Ronald Reagan. His stance on global warming, however, exposes him as being either a rank political horse trader, insufferably stupid, or both. Add "supported assault weapons (semi-auto hunting rifles) ban, immigration moderate (there is no such thing) and friendly relations with an intractable enemy, and you have Mario Cuomo. I fully expect that Christie will one day run for office as a democrat. -- Curmudgeonly & Skeptical

Your Say

"I fully expect that Christie will one day run for office as a democrat."

The purges of Joe Lieberman and Jason Altmire demonstrate that strict adherence to leftwing orthodoxy is now the essence of the Democrat party.

If Obama goes down as hard as I expect him to this November. The Democrat party will begin to melt. I would expect it to begin a series of every more hair-splitting ideological purges, that will culminate in a renaming of the remnant party as the "Socialist" or Social Democratic" or "Social Justice" or Progressive Democratic" party.

This remnant party will not be viable outside of a few urban enclaves on the West Coast and in the Northeast, such as: San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Manhattan, and Cambridge. It will sink into obscurity as moneyed people realize it has no chance of regaining power.

The Republican party will greet the brave new world by fissioning, most likely between libertarian minded people and the "social conservatives".

Mark Levin has been onto the real Chris Christie since he made the front pages. Christie is a liberal Republican that happens to talk tough about spending on union employees. In every other way he's a RINO. The GOP has become so feckless and surrender prone that anyone, anywhere that is slightly less feckless or surrenders slower than normal is hailed as our Great White Hope. He's not.

Since Christie won't be the VP candidate this year, he won't be relevant. The danger is passed.

I think I would like Mr. Christie to stay in NJ until he wants to leave; and so combative a person I think he would enjoy being first there rather than first nowhere. A liberal Republican reformer serves all best in New Jersey.

Seriously - VP? That would be a Democrat's dream for Christie. What did the man say, that the office wasn't worth a bucket of warm piss? Why would anyone want to waste anyone worthwhile on that job as CMOTUS (Chief Mourner Of The United States)?
