Still they look to find a reason to believe....

Obama's 2012 Campaign Anthem debuts!

If I listened long enough to you
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

Why is it that everybody feels compelled, when discussing his birth issue, to begin "I believe he was born in Hawaii, but ...?" Why not "I HOPE he was born in Hawaii, but ... ?" I mean, given the entirety of the evidence produced by both sides, on what basis can anyone "believe?" -- Curmudgeonly & Skeptical

Your Say

Obama wasn't born anywhere. He was created. In 20th century Moscow, and the basement of a 19th century British museum.

My goodness, we'll have to meet the challenge of this Obama anthem RIGHT AWAY!!

Born down in a flyover town
Learned to love this land before I walked the ground
You learn about folks who sing a different song
But you spend most your life trying to get along

Born in the USA, I was .. born in the USA.
I was .. born in the USA. Born in the USA.

Got a November '08 wake up call
Forced to push back or we could lose it all
Rouse the folks in my native land
Go fight the schemes of the Kenyan man

Born ...

Took my concerns to a townhall space
Congressman said, "Son don't you know your place"
Wrote a letter to my Senate man
Said "Son, don't you understand"

Had a brother in Saigon
Helping folks flee from the Viet Cong
We pulled out, they're all gone, now
Left behind cause pols lost the will
Terror stricken faces do haunt him still, now

Down in the shadow of the Capitol Hill
Where Congress and POTUS spurned the people's will
Forty years now since they shot the first round
No room to give, got to stand our ground

Born in the USA, I was born in the USA
Born in the USA, I'm a fired up bagger in the USA
Born in the USA, I was born in the USA
Born in the USA, I'm a cranky, unhip daddy in the USA
