Secret Kill List of the Dickless President

The NYT's Love Letter to Death Squads

It is not so much a newspaper story as a love letter --€” a love letter to death, to the awe-inspiring and fear-inducing power of death, as personified by Barack Obama in his temporary role as the manager of a ruthless, lawless imperial state. In the cringing obsequiousness of the multitude of insiders and sycophants who march in goose-step through the story, we can see the awe and fear -- indeed, the worship -- of death-dealing power. This enthrallment permeates the story, both in the words of the cringers and in the giddy thrill the writers display in gaining such delicious access to the inner sanctum.... This portrait of an American president signing off — week after week after week after week — on the extrajudicial murder of people all over the world is presented as something completely uncontroversial.

It's the Chicago way.

Obama needs to tell us why he no longer believes that killing terrorists only creates more of them.

They laughed at Sarah Palin when she said there would be death panels.

Until now, it had puzzled me why the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has a huge budget for drones.

Demonstrating once again, as if anymore demonstrations were needed, that the Left is interested in morality solely as prolefeed.

What is the left really interested in:

O'Brien had pushed the lever of the dial up to thirty-five.

'That was stupid, Winston, stupid!' he said. 'You should know better than to say a thing like that.'

He pulled the lever back and continued:

'Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from all the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?'

All of this was easily predictable well before the first day of the Obama administration.

If Obama looses in November, the same actions by Romney will create a wave of Media moaning and carrying on.

Actually, this jackass is doing what he thinks Presidents do. Like all liberals, he filters reality through fantasy because he has no real life experience.

Businessmen are all crooks, so why not facilitate their theft and take a cut?

He was never a real conlaw professor, but since it's part of his fantasy CV the prezzzy MUST have the power to whack anyone he chooses from the daily intel summary.

Right-wing death squads running around killing people would be Evil(tm), but since drones have both a right wing and a left wing, this is OK.

Personally, I'm down with the whole "crush your enemies, drive them before you and hear the lamentation of their women" thing. It is what wins wars. What I find objectionable here is pretending the whole business is something other than what it is.
