Obvious Innovation #10: Zebra Telescoping Pens

zebra%20telescoping.jpg

Needed, a pen that clips inside a trifold wallet. Solution:
Zebra has come up with a far more elegant and affordable solution with the Telescopic and F-301 Compact pens. Both feature a metal body made popular in their other pens. The telescopic pen body extends to a regular pen length when full telescoped, and exposes the tip, ready to write. Retracting the pen body for stowage fully retracts the tip safely into the body, like a frightened turtle. It fits neatly in the fold of my tri-fold wallet. I found them at my local OfficeMax for about $5. ---Cool Tools

Your Say

Not new - I bought a very similar pen at Cokesbury several years ago. Unfortunately, the telescoping action became very loose and the pen became pretty much unusable.

Another swell item no one needs and the Yuppie acquisition drive leaves them enthralled.

Marvelous!

Don't be diss'n the F301 Zebra pen. They are awesome, and hardly a yuppie item. I only keep my Montblanc fountain pen to remind me of my folly.

Don-- get a Zebra, they're good quality for the price, I carry them often and am very happy with it. My wife found 'em for me a couple years ago, just wish I'd thought to suggest she submit to Cool Tools!

StephenB., the F-310 and the mechie pencil are nice writing instruments. Problem is who writes much anymore?
