My kids used to guilt trip me about the beautiful bento boxes their Japanese peers brought every day in our suburban NY metro area elem school. It was all I cd do to get some breast of chicken, carrots, homemade pie and milk packed while dealing w their Special Ed younger sib. But they felt Deprived! They wanted sushi and flower and animal shaped sandwiches. I shall be paying the analysts for years because I was not as good a lunch packing mom as the Japanese moms....

On the other hand I was great at playing VelOciraptor tag in the playground (non PC, very frightening and child pleasing)
