The Just and the Unjust

Animals, for example, cannot be just -- nor can they be unjust -- because they cannot take a disinterested view of things. If my dog is eaten by a mountain lion, it may be sad, but not unjust. Conversely, it would be unjust if she were eaten by Obama. -- One Cʘsmos: Boredom Kills

"...Conversely, it would be unjust if she were eaten by Obama. "

But if the dog ate Obama??? That seems like 'social justice' to me.

I read about a dog that burned to death in a house fire because it wouldn't leave it's crippled master's bedside.
