"It's not just that Obama ate the dog, but that he's screwing the pooch."

David Axelrod: Voted man most likely to know exactly how big Obama's stick actually is.

"I'm not suggesting that President Obama has eaten a human penis, because, if he had, he'd almost certainly have boasted about it to the impressionable NPR ninnies who gobbled up his memoirs." -- Mark Steyn, Democrats should let sleeping dogs lie

Your Say

Barack Obama began to lose touch with his grassroots base the very day he foermd his Formal Committee for United States President, for that was the day the social media folk took over his outreach and messaging and long gone was Obama's hands on approach to staying connected. From the start of his campaign, you would no longer find any community grassroots community organizers from Roseland or Englewood on his staff, nor would you ever find Obama again at neighborhood nightclubs. Never again would you see Obama talking directly TO grassroots people but AT grassroots people. And while WVON was the foundation of his ability to reach and hear from grassroots voters directly, it took him almost TWO YEARS and sheer political desperation before he found his way back to The Cliff Kelley show. Many of us whom worked with Obama when he first came Chicago and worked directly with him as a Chicago community organizer could tell you EXACTLY when the disconnect began and have been predicting these political losses LONG BEFORE most high priced and better noted political pundits
