"Congress has effectively exempted itself from insider-trading rules,"

not that the SEC would have the guts to go after a Senator Schumer or a Speaker Pelosi for these exploits.
And that — not campaign contributions, not lobbying — is the really stinky petri dish of festering corruption at the nexus of Washington and Wall Street. You want a case for limited government? That’s it. -- Repo Men - Kevin D. Williamson - National Review Online

Torches, pitchforks, tar, feathers, rail, map with directions out of town for all 535 of them. Guess I am kinda old-school in that way.

Sad...true...the death knell for government "of the people, for the people."

All decent congressmen and senators should be hanging their heads in shame or yelling and screaming for Jon Corzine's head along with the heads of every other finagling cheat on Wall Street and in Congress. Since there is no evidence of shame in either the House or the Senate, and the silence regarding prosecution of the creeps is deafening, especially compared to the cries for Ken Lay's head, by an institution which revels in Enron accounting practices, the only reasonable response by the people of this country is to march on Washington, Tar and Feather every member of Congress, Obama, and his cabinet, and deport them to Zimbabwe.
