Your Say
I have to say that I find it a little disconcerting that quite a few people still seem to think that the Republican Party has the balls to reform itself back into the small-government party or the party that represents conservative fiscal policies. "The Great Awakening" piece is all well and good, excellent points brought together coherently, but for Paul Rahe and others to even ask the question of whether or not the Republicans have the wit to take advantage of what the Obama administration is handing them tells me that they're not seeing what I and probably quite a few others are seeing: the Republicans have no leadership or balls, let alone any freaking clue about how more than half their constituents live their lives! Forget about wit, though that does have its place perhaps in less critical times, and believe what your eyes are telling you! If you didn't figure out last autumn when TARP got the okey doke from former Pres. Bush that this wasn't the Republican Party of Barry Goldwater anymore, man, you are NEVER going to get it.
