A timely piece written by the Saker… describing the sickness enveloping the psyche of most Americans. From a review of “White Girl Bleed A Lot” by Colin Flaherty… “99% out of a hundred conversations in the media about race go through the same kabuki: Ignore the victims. Humanize the thugs. When it is over, congratulate each other for superior moral sensitivity.”

I bow only to our Lord God!

Yeah, but it is strange that he ends up doing the very thing he asks white folks NOT to do; apologize for the actions of others of his race. That severely weakens his argument.

BroKen, though I understand why you may think this weakens Harris’ argument, I think you are off the mark. Harris rightly points out that many in the black community are not only ignorant, but willfully ignorant, of their being used as pawns by the DemoRats. His apology for blacks, in my understanding, is not for some past sins, such as these kneeling whites, who are also willfully ignorant and being used as pawns also, but because of blacks’ active participation in their own degradation under the cover of alleged justice.

Mr. Venlet, I sincerely appreciate your response to my response. It is complicated, isn’t it, this mix of corporate versus individual responsibility and guilt? In our political climate it does seem to be necessary to stand with your side which ever side you choose. God help those who dare to reach across the divides.

This is a powerful (to my mind) exposition on the issue which hints at a possible solution. Keller mentions that police forces were developed to deal with Irish immigrants. Did you know that? All I remember is the stereotype of the friendly Irish Cop. What if the black community was given training and resources to police itself? That seems to be what happened with Brandon Tatum.

BroKen, while the link you provided to Allen’s talk is interesting, I am of the opinion that Allen is off the mark, and is pedaling an erroneous interpretation of scripture which could be construed as communistic in the communal sense. Allen cites a passage in Joshua 7 to bolster his corporate argument for white complicity in individual racist actions. If one is take his argument seriously, and to its full fruition, then the corporate guilt of any member of the Nazi party during Hitler’s time in power should have been hung by the neck until dead. Bringing that particular argument into today, surrounding the events of the Floyd incident, then every cop on the beat throughout the United States should be summarily fired, and an entire new force trained and hired, which is pure unadulterated foolishness.

As to Keller’s exposition possibly suggesting a solution, I am afraid that this also is canard. Until such time as new heaven and new earth is established, men, individually and some collectively, will remain selfish, racist, and uncaring of others problems. I must first change myself to live in a more Christian manner, before I can even think of assisting others in goodness.

What if the black community was given training and resources to police itself?

It seems to me, that this particular gamut has been attempted, BroKen. The most broken cities within the United States, if not under direct control of the black communities with black leaders (mayors/governors/etc.), are under Democratic control to the major detriment of the black communities, not to mention the white communities.

Morality cannot be legislated, it can only be attained one individual at a time, and not via coercion.
