Post of the Week: “Start bailing out the boat, instead of stocking the liferaft…”

Aesop at Raconteur Report: a “This, This, THIS:”item where he adds his insights to Bill Whittle’s The Stratosphere Lounge this past week.

1:20:20ff

WHITTLE: “We conservatives always thought that tyranny was going to come to us through the government, and therefore we’re heavily armed with weapons. And that’s not where it’s coming from; these people are afraid of paring knives.

They’re not coming after us with guns, they’re not coming after us with tanks, and they’re not coming after us by taking over the government. The defenses that we’ve established on those lines are overwhelming. They’re unassailable defenses; the first amendment essentially still is unassailable, and so is the right to keep and bear arms, and so on.

But in any event, we prepared ourselves so well against invasion from that quarter that they simply decided it was pointless to attack there, so they attacked someplace else. And the censorship that they want is not being enforced by the government, and it’s not being backed up by tanks or soldiers with guns; the government’s not censoring anything we do.

The censorship that they’re looking for, and the control of people’s thoughts and minds is accomplished by social opprobrium. It’s accomplished by shaming people, and not just shaming them, by ruining their lives in the many ways that they know how to. The way they ruined the lives of the person who decided he didn’t want to deliver a cake to a gay wedding: that is not allowed, and so he must be destroyed.

So, if the Left doesn’t have guns – and they don’t; and if they don’t have direct government suppression – and they don’t; then how have they achieved everything they’ve achieved, how have they kept us so silenced?

The only power that the Left has – and it’s enormous power – the only power that the Left has is the power that you give them yourself: it’s the power of social proof.

Social proof and peer pressure is the most powerful motivator in human psychology. Every single one of us out there has things we know to be true – such as certain countries in the world being complete shitholes – and we won’t say them, and we won’t say them because we know that what will happen to us will be so damning that we just don’t want to go through with it.

We also know it doesn’t mean physical danger, at least in most cases. It’s not that we fear physical repercussions, we fear the moral repercussions of what the Left can marshal. But when you get right down to it, really where the rubber meets the road, we do what the Left wants to us to do, because we allow them the power of telling other people who we are.

We think that’s more important than what we believe. That’s why we don’t say what we want to say, that’s why we don’t speak our minds, why no one is allowed to speak the truth anymore.

To which Aesop at RR adds these less “polite” thoughts…

  • You decided government was a lost cause, and surrendered them fifty years from FDR to Reagan.
  • And then walked away for nearly another thirty years after that.
  • You decided Hollyweird was subversive, so you ignored movies.
  • You decided television was idiocy, so you unplugged it.
  • You decided universities were ridiculous, so you ignored academia.
  • You decided society was irredeemable, so you’ve gone – or plan to – off into the hills.

“And on, and on, and on, until you’ve completely disconnected from the culture, to the point that you can’t relate to half the country, and are teetering on the brink of losing the entire cultural enterprise, forever, and precipitating either a conflagration of biblical proportions, or else aping Eurostan’s interminable slide into suicidal oblivion and subsummation. Somehow, you think you’re going to be the special elephant that the onslaught of carnivorous ants won’t strip to the bone.

“Well-played; how has that worked out for you?

“The second point is that the enormous war you’re gearing up for, while it may still happen, is unlikely because the Left is still getting what it wants without firing a shot because by the time you’re going to be ready to return fire, you’ll already be surrounded, cut off, and irrelevant, like Japanese soldiers on by-passed islands, running around a jungle in solitary pursuit of winning a war that was over decades before you found out about it.

“Great jumping Jehoshaphat, that was comedy parody gold by 1965 on Gilligan’s Island, and you want to adopt it as a strategy manual.

“Doubly so if the profits accrue directly to our side, instead of subsidizing the next ten Leftard forays to undermine society.

I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.” – John Adams

“The reason Trump – a weapon, not a cure – scares the living sh*t out of the other side is because he doesn’t give a rusty fuck what the other side thinks of him, rabbit punches the sh*t out of them on their own media, and he’s immune to their disdain and catcalling. He’s grabbing them by the p*ssy, and they let him. According to the prophecy.

“Give the Left the finger, every day, in your own head, and then slip them the wiener of pushback where it hurts, and without any lube. Embarrass them in public, and rub their noses in it, until they’re bloody with your efforts. It’s the only way a bully is broken and defanged…..”

It’s not ready yet. So keep them busy worrying about staying afloat, paying rent, getting to work. Keep the stock market propped up, keep printing dollars, continue the assault on traditional values… keep enough bread in the stores and the circus going on right in front of them… they are still too strong, can’t pull the plug just yet…

“Social proof and peer pressure is the most powerful motivator in human psychology.”
    =============================

When did it become unfashionable to punch a motherfucker in the face when they insulted you?
In every single one of the instances where the whiners and media have jumped on someone for standing their ground their immediate response is to roll over and piss all over theirself.

    WTFF?

When the baker was accosted and told that he WILL bake that fucking cake he should have lept over the counter and grabbed that cocksucker by the hair and, while dragging it to the curb, continuously punched it’s face in 10-20 times or more. Then threw the motherfucker in the gutter and jumped right in it’s face with pointed finger and yelled, “If I ever even SEE your fucking ass again I will KILL you on sight!” Then stomp his foot at the faggots “bitch” and yell, “GIT!”

I design buildings. Lots of buildings. If a sob walked into my office and demanded I design for him a faggot church with a great big faggot alter consisting of 2 giant bull-bucks anal-izing each other there is no way in hell I would accept that assault other than by what it is and grab my 870 standing over there and pump a couple into the floor at his feet and then level the barrel at his rancid head and say, “GIT!, and if I ever see you again I will kill you on sight”.

You have the exact same natural rights as everyone else but if you allow shit stained panty waist knob gobblers and their kind use you for a door mat you might just deserve it.
    Over and fucking out

    @ghostsniper-

I like reading your rhetoric, it’s blood-stirring and satisfying; but the days that anyone can do what you suggest are long gone.

That baker, who said in the nicest way possible that he would not bake a cake celebrating a homosexual union because his religion forbade it, has lost his business. He’s now facing a $135,000 fine and may lose his (and his wife’s) home. If he’d done as you suggest, he would be in jail, where he’d remain for a long, long time. Isn’t his situation bad enough already?

This is where physical fighting won’t help. The entire apparatus of law enforcement is against us; the courts are against us; the women on the juries (most of whom are on welfare, these days) would vote “lock him up, the bigot!” in an instant; you surely know what kind of judges we have on the 9th Circus, and they’d put this Christian baker away for life if they could. (They’d prefer to feed him to the lions, and the rest of us as well, but they can’t quite go that far- yet.)

As Aesop and Bill Whittle are suggesting, we need a new way to fight the war. Mike Hammer tactics just don’t cut it these days!

    Well said. As usual.

  • Terry January 25, 2018, 3:50 PM

Not giving a sh*t what someone thinks of you is an enormous power. Use it with gusto.

  • ghostsniper January 25, 2018, 6:04 PM

@Terry, I pondered your sentence for a moment.
When an entity comes into your space and requests something of you they have made a burden that is assumed you will bear. To burden someone you must first consider the ramifications and consequences. Some folks, so it seems, believe they get to do anything they want without consequence and if you don’t like it they will let the jack boots have their way with you. Thugs summoning other thugs and you are the victim. A crime is not an infraction of the justice system but of natural rights. Everything else, about 98% of the current justice system, is bullshit. When your natural rights have been violated knowingly or otherwise it is your duty to seek restitution in any way you choose. Men used to ordinarily render justice wherever it was required but a transition has occurred to where now tender underbelly’s are exposed instead. This is sacrificial and the end of the line.

Now, you gotta wonder, if some folks are ready to surrender their tender underbelly at a moments notice what values do they represent? If they think their own life is worthless then what do you suppose they think about yours?

    Ghost,
Please do not waste two warning shots on the floor. You know as well (or better) than I do that shooting in doors is mega-LOUD! Hard on what is left of my hearing as well as a 3/4″ hardwood floor. I can imagine you with the 870 and a serious look that would provide the desired effect.

The Enlightenment: did you really think it would last?

The human race – as a whole – isn’t ready for prime time.

  • Vanderleun January 26, 2018, 9:24 AM

Twain, The Damned Human Race: “Man is “The Animal that Laughs.” But so does the monkey, as Mr. Darwin pointed out; and so does the Australian bird that is called the laughing jackass. No — Man is the Animal that Blushes. He is the only one that does it — or has occasion to …. “

  • ghostsniper January 26, 2018, 6:09 PM

“Mike Hammer tactics just don’t cut it these days!”
    ===================================

You’re right. What was I thinking? This is the new millennium, new ways must be discovered.

The baker should have zip tied the pre-husband and pre-wife faggots together at the throats then dragged them out back and into a ride and forced them to their family’s homes where they would be zip tied too. Then carry the whole fucked up mess out to a deserted rural location and gutted all of them and set them on fire with diesel.

That the baker DID NOT realize he now lives in a criminal country was his first mistake. Pulling his punches was his second mistake. Seems everybody’s inclination is to play patty-cake with these communists and then they sit back and wonder why they get shit on every single time.

Decades of coddling put those fags in that bakery and more coddling will keep them there.
When a majority of the men in this country decide to stand up like men rather than cower like children you’ll see the misfits of society self banish for their very lives will depend on it.

I have never and will never bow to misfits.

Just urge your Senator and Congressman to ASK THE QUESTION (https://therandomtexan.wordpress.com/2018/01/25/whether-to-ask-the-question-invites-an-answer/).

Oh, and I’ll bake as gay a cake as you like; prices start at $1000, frosting extra.

  • Casey Klahn January 27, 2018, 8:19 AM

Mike Anderson wins the internet this morning. “I’ll bake as gay a cake as you like…”

  • bud January 27, 2018, 11:22 PM

I’m not saying your premise is wrong (that we need to fight a cultural war), but citing the cake baker as an example of social pressure is, well, wrong. See Eskyman’s comment above.

What put him out of business was government action, not the disdain of the public. A big Trump mural isn’t going to pay for the legal fees to combat the cultural Marxists control of the legal machinery of the regulatory state.

We need to ADD cutural tools to our arsenal, not ignore other areas of battle as irrelevant.

  • Aesop January 30, 2018, 12:22 PM

    Fair enough.
You hire more lawyers, and I’ll sway the jury pools.

Ask Marcia Clarke how that worked out at the OJ trial.

Dumb@$$ lawsuits like the cake baker’s work for Leftardia because the Right surrendered the jury pool to the tender ministrations of the popular culture, and then can’t figure out how they get rolled at trial after trial.
