When did our cities give up and allow the lowest dregs of humanity overrun them? I remember a trip to Philadelphia back in the 1990s and it looked NOTHING like this. Did the city just collectively say to itself, “We give up, civilization is too HARD, so we’re going for full-time shithole now”?

the homeless have the right to just be there. in NYC years back the authorities repeatedly placed a woman in care and she declared she wouldn’t be in it- her rights were violated, and so she was released to go back to exactly where she was first found on the street. you can’t *make them* go anywhere.

in the courts, news, etc. as I recall.

too, they’ll have us proles in our place.

The common denominator among all shit-hole cities in America is…… wanna guess?
…..Wait for it…..rotten and corrupt DEMOCRAT “leadership”. City council and mayor of Philthadelphia are Democrats and mostly black.
    It’s all about “brotherly love”.

I’m a 74-year old woman living in Colorado.
What’s suspicious to me, concerning the fentanyl coming into the United States from China by way of Mexico, after it is distributed to the Mexican drug cartels to sell to the drug dealers in the United States. I read the history if the Opium Wars and feel that China is doing to the United States and Europe what was done to them in the 1800s, with Great Britain importing opium grown in India to keep the Chinese people weak with opium addiction and maintaining low prices on Chinese exports (tea, silk).

My little town in Golden, Colorado, used to have three bars. Now there is one on every corner. We used to have one brewery, Coors, now we have a least 10. Sedating the masses seems to be what is happening. The legalization of marijuana was a real catalyst in turning Colorado blue, not to mention our many years of mail-in ballots. Homelessness, Black Lives Matter and crime have become prevalent in our state. People don’t want to hear marijuana legalization is damaging. But when you see how mindless these people act when April 20th rolls around, you may agree with me.

Colorado has a Democrat Governor, Denver has a Democrat mayor. We have homelessness like we’ve never had before. Most all of these homeless are drug addicts. Things will start being cleaned up now that the All Star game is coming to Denver after it was thrown out of Atlanta.

Maintaining one’s addiction seems to be what is most important to the United States’ citizens and why wouldn’t China and the Left placate? I almost feel we are doomed.

I have been dirt poor. I mean beans and rice poor. But the house was clean. the yard the clean, we all wore clean clothes, some had patches and mending visible, but they were clean. I don’t understand this filth they find acceptable.

Margot is right about the deliberate importation of Chinese fentanyl and our country’s thirst for mind numbing substances and other distractions, such as gambling, professional sports, and celebrities. Breads and circuses for the masses, so we don’t see what is being done to us. We are going the way of Rome, and the Barbarians are eagerly waiting near our gates.

Most of my misspent youth was misspent in Philly…

I misspent it cutting school and riding the cultural loop bus…the one that went to all the museums and zoos and gardens…

50 cents and you could ride all day!!!

    Doubt it still exists…..

Once I learned to read, the rest has been up to me, and except for French, I don’t think any teacher ever taught me something I didn’t already know…

I hate to see how far my adopted hometown has fallen….

I used to occasionally do some work in this section of Philadelphia (Kensington) having at the time worked for an engineering firm based in Center City Philadelphia about 30 years ago. It was bad then with lots of junkies, and it looks to be even worse now with the fentanyl explosion. Back in the 90s it was heroin.

For the record, Center city Philadelphia still looks really good, but I think the city reached its peak in 2019 thanks to Trump’s economy but now it’s starting to go downhill all due to the so-called “progressive” leadership of the mayor, the police commissioner from Portland, and the Soros funded DA Larry Krasner. Housing prices are insane, even with all the BLM riots almost a year ago now. The murder rate is terrible now with I think 498 people murdered in the city last year, the highest in decades I believe. Plain and simple, the Democrats have partnered with Satan to destroy this country.

Regarding Margot’s theory about the fentanyl being payback from China for the opium wars, I’ve made this point to several people. It’s that of course, plus they and their sleeper cell Democrats want to turn us into a communist shit hole so they can just come in and take over without any shots fired.

I live in a suburban ghetto. Family house from 1931, it was a 60 acre depression farm sold in the ’50s to become a working class sub. Gradually over the decades it’s become a trash heap, each day I pick up bags of trash from used baby diapers to every liquor bottled in the world, every fast food, car parts, everything imaginable. My friend asked how ‘they’ could live like that I answer is ”simple, they like living in the ghetto”. He said “no way anyone wants to live in a ghetto.” Yes it’s true the ghetto life makes virtually no demand of conventional lifestyle, no requirement of propriety, all that is required is you make payment on your leased blak high end tinted window SUV. Ghetto life is easy as it’s all downhill.

Communism will take over The United States, not one shot will be fired in her defense!. I first heard this in 1962/64,,,,, I scoffed at the notion, as a child.

I’m not “Scoffing” anymore, nor am I shocked.
