The shooting occurred at around 1:15 a.m. at a home in the 13200 block of West Mulholland Drive, the Los Angeles Fire Department reports. In a video posted by one partygoer to Instagram, about 20 gunshots could be heard. There appeared to be two rounds of gunfire. Following the second, there was chaos as people tried to run to safety.
Officers arrived on scene to find two women and a man with gunshot wounds, Los Angeles police Lt. Chris Ramirez said at a news briefing Tuesday morning.
All three were rushed to local hospitals, where one of the women, believed to be about 35-years-old, died. The two others were in stable condition, Ramirez said.
1 Killed at Large L.A. Mansion Party Near Beverly Hills The local news outlet KCAL 9, which was at the scene of the party on Monday night, interviewed a man who identified himself as Kennie D. Leggett who said he was handling security for the gathering. Mr. Leggett said that the party had been thrown for an unidentified N.F.L. player and that the property was a rental.
And of course, it’s all fun and games in this Instagram tour of the worship service until the 6:30 mark when folks start to get got and get shot…
What strikes me is how gabrieldaactor323, the person who took that second video, seems initially like he was one of the invited guests, and yet he feels compelled to flee the scene as soon as the police show up. What’s with that??

Looks like Garcetti hasn’t yet defunded the LAPD. How long did it take the social workers to show up after the cops arrived?

It was a gangland (duh) party with the big shots (no pun intended) presiding.
Take a gander at that place – palace, actually – in the *VERY* pricy hills above L. A.
I was born and lived a good part of my life not far from that neighborhood. Even delivered pizza for my first year of college. Went to those environs on many a night.
Even used to road race on Mulholland Drive but much further East of there.
