I’ve been away for a while….nothing intentional….just life moved along and suddenly there was a week, week-and-a-half that I hadn’t visited my old friends here.
Two observations that I can’t un-see every time I visit.
1. Gerard’s “Last Post” is a beautiful poem and it makes me again miss him. But 99 comments just seems like a number of comments that shouldn’t be there. I’m not going to disturb that number myself, but 99 just seems off.
2. And every time I visit here, his last words to his Justine just breaks my heart. Dunno what went on between them, but I wish that it had been resolved before his passing.

I still come by and lurk.
Hoping for a book or two…
I wonder what he would be thinking just about now. Give me a donut, give you a dollar, whatever happened, makes me want to holler.

I contemplate on how much I miss him, as well as how well I feel I knew him, like a long-time friend, yet never met him or spoke with him. I think that says a lot about his writing.
He sent me his phone number once. I never called him. I don’t know why.
Probably intimidated. Afraid of sounding like a buffoon.

On Memorial Day weekend, we do think of our departed. This year, how can we not think of Gerard? I had the greatest respect for his writing, and his mastery of English, poetry, and prose. He was a credible intellect, and an incredible man. If you need help believing that, just look at this blog. It doesn’t define everything about GvD, but it has been about 20-plus years of mastery of the motif. We’re a community here and in some form or another that will continue. The feeling.
Thanks again, New Neo, for the blog post blog.
On trends, I am late spotting them and I think possibly because my news blog is gone. Meaning Gerard’s writing. I am becoming aware today of a snowball effect in the broader culture war. Anheuser-Busch blew off (no pun intended) the initial splash-back from their tone deaf tranny campaign, and for once (!) the conservative population has had enough, and is fighting back with their spending. It’s not really a boycott so much as it’s a blood-letting. Nobody in their right mind is buying Bud Light, and it’s huge. But, on trends, now the snowball is gathering more mass as it rockets downhill. Target, The North Face, the Summer of Trans. During the lockdown, I saw with alarm the depth and width of how easily American corporations will adopt fascist tactics. Corporate America is evil as hell and will shoot itself collectively in the foot to make a point for Marxism.
I have a question for corporate America. In what way does transvestism serve the State? I’ll wait; take your time finding that little gem of an answer.

It serves one Larry Fink of Black Rock and all that he stands for.
And that is all you need to know.
ghostsniperMay 27, 2023, 4:08 AM
How does it do that?
ThisIsNotNutellaMay 27, 2023, 5:31 AM
Black Rock and Vanguard invest and vote their shares (generally biggest holdings) as well as issue plain bullying ‘advice’ on the basis of DEI (Diversity Equity Inclusion) as much if not more than on the basis of actual management performance in the core business. Remember that these Fortune 500 companies are mainly too big to fail and in any case will get extra finance or not on the say-so of the likes of Fink (early life check hint hint) who also has a lot of say over what the major banks can or cannot invest in given that Black Rock and Vanguard get to vote at *their* shareholder meetings too.
Larry Fink is probably the most powerful man in the USA today.
Why he and the rest of the managerialist elite want to trash Heritage White Americans I’m sure I couldn’t possibly imagine. In the case of Fink et. al it’s probably atavistic stuff going way back. For the average ad executive or marketing executive at Anheuser Busch it’s more just a way of signalling caste status.

When the Marxists are in complete charge, the ruling class will be painfully, remorselessly and entirely white. This goes without saying.
The blacks went to the USSR after 1917, to finally get a fair shake. That lasted about one day. Same with artists. There was about 16-18 months of outrageously open and free painting, and then the Leninists got wise and made sure that shit served the program.
Trannys are worth less than the tits on a bull to the operation of an industrial and command-down society. The Left grandees are in for a rude awakening when they get what they think they want.

Grilled, smoky pork ribs with Bachan’s hot ‘n spicy Japanese bbq sauce on the side. Yukon gold sour cream ranch potato salad, and grilled corn on the cob, slathered with real butter. Fresh-baked buttermilk biscuit strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream.
I do so love to cook;wish you all could be here to partake. Lately it feels like every cherished American holiday is an ominous last supper.
Bonus points for the pork ribs-it’s a beautiful mild day here, blue skies with not a chem trail anywhere, and a light SW breeze wafting that porky aroma over the mooslemen’s abode north of here.
A peaceful and blessed Memorial Day to our veterans and those who love them.

Nori’s back! YAAAY!!!
And all that grub!
Yeah, I’ll have a stout serving of all of it and a DOUBLE serving of the strawberry, and I’ll tell you right now you do NOT have enough whipped cream!
Today was Classic So Cal Spring on the coastal plain: cool gray morning in the low 60’s. Cool gray afternoon in the mid 60’s. Cool gray evening in the low 60’s. Sky like the lights in a mall, no sun, no shadows, just ambient gray. Feels like you shouldn’t raise your voice, and disturb the earth.
Wednesday I drove down to Hemet, and spent a good day with my two best buds from back in high school. Today the bike gang all came over to cruise the new bike trail right by the house. Then we came back here for burgers, beer, and bud.
Mary and I have a well-earned reputation for setting down a great feed. I’m the grill master, and Mary makes the fixings look like a spread in a food magazine. So it was today. Today was as easy as it gets: Burgers.
And today was the first time the BBQ was a bust. It all came out OK.
Except for the buns.
We always get ciabatta rolls for the burgers. They work great, and taste better than plain ol’ burger buns. Not today. Today the bread was dry, and tough as rawhide. Everyone had to knife & fork it. Embarrassing.
Somehow, we got by. Life is good, despite all the BS.

Who Am I? by Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I reach my hands and play with pebbles of destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs reading “Keep Off.”
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive in the universe.
Duty, Beauty, Liberty, Country, Honor, Family, Faith — Plus a few simple easy to follow rules for guys
Men saw the stars at the edge of the sea
They thought great thoughts about liberty
Poets wrote down words that did fit
Writers wrote books
Thinkers thought about it
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
Many’s the road I have walked upon
Many’s the hour between dusk and dawn
Many’s the time
Many’s the mile
I see it all now
Through the eyes of a child
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
And close your eyes
Leave it all for a while
Leave the world
And your worries behind
You will build on whatever is real
And wake up each day
To a new waking dream
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Change, change come over
Change come over
Talkin’ about a change
Change, change
Change come over, now
Change, change, change come over
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light

Shamelessly stolen from a comment in Andrei Martyanov’s blog today:
A young man with a wild and multi-coloured hairstyle sits next to an old
man on a park bench. The old man stares at the young man.
“What’s the matter, old man?” says the young man. “Never done anything crazy in your life?”
The old man replies: “Yeah. When I was in the Navy, I got really drunk
one night and had sex with a parrot. I thought you might be my son.”
I spent a week in Ensenada one night, just me and the worm.
