Are we now seeing the costly and intentional process of global elites reconsecrating our America, our West — to negative entities that are — in spite of all the dominant narrative since the 20th century began, arguing the contrary — in fact — real?

As poet Charles Baudelaire pointed out, “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” The only thing that feels intuitive to me is that these pagan forces may indeed once again have gained a foothold again on our planet.

What feels intuitive to me is that God is at the limit of His patience with us.

And He has said, Okay, you want to do it yourself? Do it yourself. And He let us go.

And that this — the absence of the protection of our God – the ascendancy of a realm on Earth of us doing it all ourselves; regarding ourselves; worshiping ourselves, whoring after only human works; releasing ourselves from all lawful constraints, embracing all lusts and all obedience to non-divine authorities; rejecting mercy; celebrating all narcissisms; treating children like animals whom we own, treating the family like a battlefield; treating the Churches and Synagogues as marketing platforms — this is, indeed what the realms of pagan darkness; or of Principalities and Powers – look like.

This may, indeed, be what Hell itself looks like.

Ghostsniper, “have the ancient gods returned?” They never left. ” For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” And not let us forget the following from Matthew, “Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

Before I get to my main main response, has anyone else seen the new Russel Crowe movie trailer, The Pope’s Exorcist? It scared me, and I’ve watched the Linda Blair one about a hundred times, and it keeps getting funnier every time I watch it. If art is going to lead culture, it has to be bigger (more “out-there”) than current culture. Anyhow, this one is scaryshit.

Ghost, your comment is spot on and I agree with it. Hell is both a real place, and also available for no money down right now in one’s present life. Just accept it.

Hell breaths on me daily, and in one current form it is the realization that if I must keep track of all the 2A news, coming from state legislatures everywhere, then I won’t have any more time left for my work and my life. It is spinning way out of control. I visited a local pew pew store and noted that they sell no magazines because of the recent ban on some magazines. So, I bought more of those funny brass thingies because soon the thing that throws those will be off the shelves. I mentioned already elsewhere how corporate America is becoming Fascist Corporate America, on a greased skid.

I don’t buy em any more, I build em, and right now I’m getting itchy fingers again.
I think I want to build a small glock in 9mm.
I’ll start with a slightly used receiver bought from someone up close and personal.
Then add all the right parts purchased from all sorts of other places.
This will be my 4th build in 4 years.
When you learn em and build em you know how they work, what goes wrong and why, and how to fix em fast.
Also thinking about building a 1911.

you need to understand that the intrusion/enforcement of communist doctrine/control into our beloved country began in the mid-1930s. Sometime in 1937 (?) congress investigated the tactics used to sway the minds of citizens. Those tactics are clearly listed in the reports from that investigation 90 years ago in the library of congress! The new wave of feminist ideology (beginning maybe in 1970 +/- follows those guidelines. Melinda Gates clearly stated on PBS–“give us women a chance to run the world it will be so much better!” Melinda’s extremely wealthy and powerful girlfriends in Seattle are the same people who put Obama in the white house and homosexuality into the Protestant churches. They are the same people who have removed from our universities approximately 600 white male professors. Refilling those jobs with females obedient to their feminist leadership. If you/we really wanted to stop the spread of this destruction we have to defend the concept of “meritocracy”. Independent scholars (as on your Brownstone Institute page) will have to organize and fund law suits at the local college level in all parts of this country. If you really want to stop this rot the Republicans will have to attempt to impeach the president based on our southern border-collapse. We will have to have in every state in the union a group as well organized as the ACLU has been for the past 50 years! LOCAL, LOCAL, or don’t waste your time whining!

Indeed. Full-on Clownworld will not be pretty.

Saying, “I identify as…” is the same as saying, “I pretend to be…”.

If someone told me they identify as something most likely I would have to go to jail.
    But.
I know my limits so there is little likelihood such a thing will ever happen.

    God’s Country
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKJi0T56QOc

    “God’s Country”
Right outside of this one church town
There’s a gold dirt road to a whole lot of nothing
Got a deed to the land but it ain’t my ground
    This is God’s country

We pray for rain and thank Him when it’s fallin’
‘Cause it brings a grain and a little bit of money
We put it back in a plate, I guess that’s why they call it
    God’s country

I saw the light in a sunrise
Sittin’ back in a 40 on the muddy river side
Gettin’ baptized in holy water and shine with the dogs runnin’
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistle in the wind, that’ll get you Heaven bound
The devil went down to Georgia but he didn’t stick around
    This is God’s country

We turn the dirt and work until the week’s done
We take a break and break bread on Sunday
Then do it all again ’cause we’re proud to be
    From God’s country (Yeah)

I saw the light in a sunrise
Sittin’ back in a 40 on the muddy river side
Gettin’ baptized in holy water and shine with the dogs runnin’
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistle in the wind, that’ll get you Heaven bound
The devil went down to Georgia but he didn’t stick around
    This is God’s country

    (Yeah, this is God’s country)
(This is God’s country) God’s country

I don’t care what my headstone reads
Or what kind of pine wood box I end up in
When it’s my time lay me six feet deep in
    God’s country

I saw the light in a sunrise
Sittin’ back in a 40 on the muddy river side
Gettin’ baptized in holy water and shine with the dogs runnin’
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistle in the wind, that’ll get you Heaven bound
The devil went down to Georgia but he didn’t stick around
    This is God’s country

Yeah, I saw the light in a sunrise
Sittin’ back in a 40 on the muddy river side
Gettin’ baptized in holy water and shine with the dogs runnin’
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistle in the wind, that’ll get you Heaven bound

It hasn’t happened yet, but I expect it will before the end. I’ll be in a meeting at work, and a new person joins the group, and either announces or is introduced as “… identify/ies as <normally immutable personal characteristic>”. There will likely be cooing and professed encouragement from some of the group, or at least smiles and nodding heads.

That will be an uncomfortable moment. Hmm, how to react that doesn’t put me on the s*** list, and maintains group cohesion, loyalty and purpose?

In a smart world, each of us when doing the obligatory round of introductions, would say “I’m Joe/Jane Shlablotnik, and I identify as <professional identity/job title>, e.g, doctor, engineer, lawyer, ditch digger. If everyone else did likewise, the new member would get the idea very quickly that this is a serious group, that we’re all here to get the job done.

But that is not our world now. For the time being, we live in clown world. And so it will go, until it no longer does. Something that can’t go on forever, won’t.

Overheard the following once at the Officer’s Club, in Eighties. a New Zealander army officer saying to a person of certain origins who was young and maybe just 1% too uppity for our hero: “What makes you think I approve of you?”

The Brits have something there. It’s extra shitty, and it works well in lots of situations. That line is there for a reason.

A post worthy of Mr V himself, thanks Ghost. A re-read or two is in order for more mind-mastication this weekend. Ms Wolfe has never been someone I agreed with on much, but she articulates well.

The figure beneath the sign is not a dog. He is Zen…

  • Anne March 10, 2023, 8:33 PM

Casey–can we get you to post one of your lovely paintings? I got used to seeing them on the old site. It would be nice to have one around again!

    • Casey Klahn March 11, 2023, 12:35 PM

I will, Anne, and that is so kind of you to ask. As it is, I want to ask Neo if she wants a rotation on the sidebar, but maybe the sidebar is one task too many and I don’t wish to make requests. Gerard never asked me; he just picked them himself every 2 or 3 months. Of course, that has been a great delight for me to see, and I only once said thank you.

    Oh dear.
My wife busted me drinking milk right out of the jug.
I thought she was upstairs in her office.
    She weren’t.
She was right around the corner in the laundry room.
    Now there’s hell to pay.
Weerd part is, I almost never drink milk.
But the one time I do and, WHAM!….right in the ass….

    • ThisIsNotNutella March 12, 2023, 5:12 PM

It’s the Kali Yuga, Baby: we’re all going to get it in the ass.

        Hadta look that up.

  • ghostsniper March 11, 2023, 5:40 PM

Since the Juggalos try so hard to make every moment Year Zero, I got to thinking about our sense of the passage of time.

Art is the clearest example, so let’s start there. Some artists, obviously, are self-consciously new. As in, “newness” is the only thing that matters. I want to argue that that’s a sure sign of cultural Senescence (being old, tired, worn out, mush-headed, and ready to die — also known as “Brandonization” — to distinguish it from capital-D Decadence, the art movement). Whether or not it should be done is irrelevant; all that matters is that it hasn’t been done before.

If I were trying to get through to Those Darn Kids today, I guess I’m trying to say, art is a good place to start. Especially artists who are conscious of themselves reacting to a tradition. When I was in college, Burne-Jones prints were popular (the kind of girl I liked, which also liked me, tended to have them on their dorm room walls. Stay away from the Monets). At the time I thought it was part of the general fin de siècle vibe of the 1990s. Maybe that was the case, I dunno — the horrors of Postmodernism soon took over, the same way the Pre-Raphaelites (and Decadents, to whom the PRB were close) were overthrown by the horrors of Modernism. But I bet you can start developing the sense of the past as a different country by looking at artists who thought that about their own past….

What they’re teaching at universities now is Critical Art Theory, which is as you can see: Marxism. In some ways it’s very contemporary because it reduces art to an applied activity, rather than a fine activity.

      I’m a Modernist. More later.

Pours another bourbon. I have to get up early tomorrow to see a nude model on Zoom who is in Rome, Italy. When it’s 6 PM in Rome, it’s 9 AM where I am. factor in daylight savings time. Anyway, when I draw and paint her, I won’t be interested in either form or likeness.

The Brownstone article that Ghost references, by N. Wolf, is very good. I diverge, unsurprisingly, from her about the personality of Satan, because she may have accurately referenced Old Testament scholarship on the subject, but she rejects out-of-hand the Christian or New Testament references to literally Satan. She’s allowed that, as a Jewess, but she doesn’t really make her point that the old shall discard the new. I, myself, referenced the office of Satan as the Accuser and made fun of lawyers in this very blog. We know the activity of Evil, the personality characteristics and the evidence of such. She is right on when she estimates the Covid years as other-worldly in its design and effects. My own estimate is that we have lived through as near to exactly how it felt to be in the presence of Nazti and Fascichst governance on the rise, and to have been present at the dawning of the Stalinits and Bolshevits (sic) eras. “Take Zee Vaxxeen, old mahn!”, said in Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong comedic voice.

So, she’s right in so many ways. On the one hand, a secular society cannot be scared by demons and ghosts, because it lacks the credulity. On the other hand, those who believe not in God will believe damn near anything. Norse Gods. Japanese demon-guards of Buddha. Witches. Satanism. All powerful forces for evil. Oh, I forgot to add: Democrats.
