Well that appears to be a lovely little set of makeshift hockey rinks, on the outskirts of Blue River, CO?
Seems the winters here in wonderland have been getting milder and milder each year. 15 years ago I remember being snowed and iced in for weeks at a time in Feb but next week on my wife’s birthday it will be up to 70. Whoever heard of such a thing? That’s grillin’ weather bruh and I’m making plans right now. Shorts, tshirt, brews, and ample backbone searching for fire. Maybe we should have kept all out “Florida” themed Christmas ornaments.
While the makeshift hockey/skating rinks are nice, it’s the hunters returning from the hunt with their pack of dogs, and what appears to be some empty traps hanging from the one hunter’s spear(?) which catches my eye.

No doubt northern hemisphere climate has warmed since the 70s (don’t know southern hemisphere but I assume same); I recall using 2nd floor doors to get out after some storms. It now appears to be beginning a cooling phase but too soon to tell. The question (fact) is the cause. It’s not people, it has more to do with solar radiation variations. It’s not CO2 either. At about 400ppm, CO2 is minor “greenhouse gas” component, especially compared to water vapor – how’s your humidity doing? (and if CO2 were the problem … recall all the big news about “rain forests” (jungles) being cut down in the 80s?). The biggest threat to climate – really us – is politicians. Could go on – it’s a soapbox issue (and professional field) but ’nuff said. And not the topic of this painting anyway. I miss the betting pools of when the junker would fall through the ice …
True. And at 400ppm the level of CO2 is frighteningly close to 180ppm level of plant death.
If you had a ‘Fuel’ gauge with Full calibrated to 7,00ppm which was what the Earth enjoyed during the era of mega-fauna and mega-flora then we are cruising down the road with the gauge bouncing off Empty.
And there are no CO2 filling stations down the road.
Breugels. Love his stuff. We have a warm, sunny day in So Cal. I just treated my two Brooks saddles, and they’re sitting out in the sun. As the leather warms up, the Proofide goop soaks in, and keeps the leather pliable. The saddle on my daily ride is a B33 model. Early 19th century technology. It’s the same seat they used on the BSA made folding bikes that paratroopers carried with them on their jumps in WWII. Rugged.
Moby Dick has found its way to the computer desk. Damn thing is sitting there…
It’s only brutal on the ass bones for the first year. This is hard, hard saddle leather. Looks and feels like plastic, or resin at first. It is debatable whether the saddle eventually conforms to your ass, or your ass gets beat into the shape of the saddle. I was first told that it would take a couple months to break in. It’s built for heavier riders, and I’m a scrawny bastard, so it took me longer. Once you do get it broken in, though, it’s as comfy as a hammock. I can go over three hours straight, and never have to stand up on the pedals. I’ve seen WWII vintage B33’s that were still serviceable.

I rode my Stella bike from San Mateo (SF Peninsula) to Santa Cruz, CA over the Coast Range mountains many, many years with a saddle narrower than a B33, and un-sprung. Never had a butt complaint. That was back in the early to late seventies. Off the seat all the way up the long, long climb to the summit. Now, would be a different story. I still have the Stella. I don’t ride it anymore. Too dangerous where I now live.
My bike gang, and I are all on 26″ fat tire cruisers, classic Schwinns, Dynos, and stretch bikes. Hence the wide springy seats. Totally different animals from a road, or touring bike.

I acquired a half decent “mountain bike” a few years ago. My current plan is to get it running and then I can roll on the dirt/gravel roads around hill-billy Idaho where I live.
Where I grew up in hill-billy California in the fifties a neighbor had a private dump in the back of their property that contained a bunch of discarded bicycles. About six of us kids thought we had hit paydirt when we discovered those bikes in the hole. The one I pulled out of the tangled mess was fairly easy to make rideable. Never really got the coaster brake to work on my rig. That was my very first real bicycle and I loved it. Saved some work money for tires, tubes and other stuff like bearing balls. No brakes, no fenders, no reflectors, missing spokes, hand carved seat & etc. Most of the original paint was gone and the tubing looked like what the cool cars guys now call “Patina”.
In the early days around my area, no one threw anything away other than in backyard storage holes that remained open. The storage hole on our property had a lot worn out farm and mining machinery in deep storage. Also steel bed frames that were in high demand for all sorts of “repurposing”. Thousands of steel food cans were visible. Rusted back to minerals as removed at iron ore mines almost.

Open threads are a construct of the white male patriarchy and will be redistributed in the spirit of egalitarian equity. (honk!)
The Brueghel family was talented with that whitey culture stuff featuring younger and elder.
Bosch, Monet, are some of my favorites and of course Caravaggio.
I’ll have whatever Bosch found on the moldy bread and Monet paintings look like a photograph from long ago.
Family heirloom Catholic bible that you can use as for weight training is all Caravaggio.

I have seen some Brueghel paintings in real life; want to see his Tower of Babel. For cultural references to Breughel, watch The Mill and The Cross, 2011, with Rutger Hauer.
New object, unidentified, shot down over Alaska within the past hour. Not satisfied with flirting a Third World war, Biden now starts an interstellar war. (Joke seen on Twitter). What we “know” and my intel analysis at this early hour. The thing follows somehow the entry axis as the Chinese Spy Balloon, which is a high altitude air stream, and so it’s fair to suspect a balloon, of a different shape and form. In another juvenile CYA, the administration insists this time the object threatened air traffic. Bullshit it did – this is just a cover for why they failed last week to shoot the balloon down in a timely fashion. They knew they couldn’t fuck up a second time, and so they got on the joy stick and splashed this one early. Some extreme thinkers will question the veracity of anything said in the news, and label this whole shitshow as a potential fake. It’s unlikely that the iPhone images by civilians in Montana, and off the SC coast, are complete fakes, however keep in mind that the bullshit they have shoveled is a tell. They are fakers, liars, and bastards at the core. They will take any news, either that supported by nuggets of fact, or the kind totally fabricated out of whole cloth, and dish it up to you as a tyrannical and Marxist elixir of feces. As I type, Biden and the new Marxist guy from Brazil are talking about climate. Real time horse shit from the horses mouth.

Looks like the ‘Wegians, probably with the US pulling the strings, destroyed the pipeline. NATO, IOW. I couldn’t hardly give less of a shit. Putin’s laying pipe into Europe, himself. Oops. Out of respect for the new editor, maybe that was too course. My apologies. I’m trying to tone it down.
I didn’t expect the EU to suffer a gas shortage at the hands of NATO, but then again I’m short on eggs and now have developed a new allergy to chicken. I still consume as much beef as humanly possible, but it’s at a dear price. The Bolshevik-style guys who orchestrated the run-up to the Russian Revolution in 1917 first starved the populace to soften them up.
But, Ghost, I don’t love the Xhinamen or Ivan anymore than I love Biden’s Clown World. They’re all bad actors. Meanwhile, the nukes sit in their silos, reminding us of the threat of The Big One. BTW, did you read Kissinger’s speech at the Reagan Library just this past week?
Sit’s back with a wreath of fine cigar smoke around his skull, and pours you a long dram.

To date, US intelligence has revealed that the balloon, which spent eight days over US airspace, is “part of a larger Chinese surveillance balloon program” – something which Beijing continues to deny.
Remember when Russia continued to deny the Nord Stream blow up?
Who doesn’t see the pattern developing?
The US MIC is incompetent and criminal.
They caved to the towelheads way over there.
Yet, the poke the Bear and the Slopes.
Why?
The US MIC, with it’s red high heels, hasn’t a chance against either one.
The same group of criminals created the covid in Chapel Hill, NC and blamed the chinx, then they developed the “cure” and claimed it was safe and both of them have killed or maimed millions of people in the US.
The enemy stands before you but can you see it?
Casey KlahnFebruary 10, 2023, 3:45 PM
I see your point.
I watched Red Dawn, 1984, this week. It’s dated, but as much of a psychological thriller as an Eighties action fantasy. On topic, I saw a meme this week that I liked. It says: “Military weapons in civilian hands is literally the whole fucking point of the Second Amendment!” I also read some stuff about the wording: “Well regulated”. In 18th Century parlay, that means well oiled, gunned up, and in working order. In Canada, PT is moving to take away hunting rifles from his subjects. The noose tightens.
Anyway, we weren’t in the same outfit, Ghost. I was in the national guard. We spent a lot of time drinking beer, and letting the air out of the tires of the RA.
Everyone quickly jumped on the video that showed “OMG. There’s Brandon saying that the pipeline would never open!!” Maybe so, but Brandon has said lots of shiite for lots of years. On this question, I’m keeping my mind open.

The article does add to my knowledge, but also calls into question the Norwegian/American op. I have been on the Baltic Sea exactly twice. The Russian naval ports that I saw were Medieval in character, but they are right fucking there. OTOH, the Baltic is so big that one does not see the land at all when in the middle of it. It’s a big kiddie pool. A sabotage op is possible, but not with new diver graduates. That is pure unadulterated bullspit. You’d want and need a very, very sharp knife to conduct that kind of operation. No newbies allowed. TBH, I just skimmed the article but will read it more closely soon.
Fuck Russia if it can’t take a joke. What if the object in Alaska this morning was Russian? What if they want to target the Alaska Pipeline?
Thanks, I needed a new horror to keep me awake at night.

Casey’s last line suggested another line of demarcation:
“The USA needs to inform Xhina that our response to their next spy vehicle will be a fast, stealthy self-destructng bird that will proceed to scatter a large quantity of lethal swine virus over Yangxiang’s newly operational high-rise pig buildings to aid the Great Leader in testing the efficacy of their solution to their meat woes.”
That will focus their attentions for a change. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/sep/18/a-12-storey-pig-farm-has-china-found-a-way-to-stop-future-pandemics-

I saw this painting in the Kunthistorisches in Vienna in January, 1979. Boy, did it resonate with me. My first thought was I’m just like those guys, except they’re better hunters. I bought the print and it has hung my wall ever since. Kind of faded now but it still resonates the same as it did then.

I grew up in Breughels’ Pajottenland. Halle (Brabant) It still is beautiful where the farmlands are.
My father was a small game hunter on Sundays and sometimes during the week. Rabbits, hares, partridge and pheasants were served often by my mother who made the best game dinners. We were 6 children.
Miss those smells and tastes from my childhood. Miss the large basket filled with wild mushrooms as a bonus.
Miss my parents very hard right now.

Is this what Gerard died from? glioblastoma Brain cancer
John CondonFebruary 11, 2023, 9:43 AM
My Uncle died from Brain Cancer that was a ‘blastoma’ and his symptoms matched what is on the internet. 6 months from the time he was having extreme headaches to his death.
From the very limited information that came out of the hospital in the 3 or so weeks prior to his death, the symptoms did not match a glio-‘blastoma’ either on the internet nor my witnessing of the death of my Uncle.
Maybe a cancer that spread from elsewhere and then to his brain? I dunno, the results are the same, sadly.
From what I was told from someone who knows, a ‘blastoma’ is the most primitive form of cancer we can have. It spreads very quickly and there is not much hope for any survival.
Blastoma… is a neon glowing word in my lexicon.

“Is this what Gerard died from? glioblastoma Brain cancer”
No.
Glio ravages the brain first, and with the best treatment Gerard would have been unable to write years ago. John Condon (below) writes of the normal untreated 6 month prognosis.
Drop it. Gerard is gone, as we all will be; this is a temporary habitation even if it seems not. The ‘how’ is truly irrelevant, though I am relieved he had a short illness compared to other lost friends.

Back in the 1950’s I lived about 5 blocks away from Gerard. We both went to the same elementary school, only he moved a year before I arrived. This little clean and tidy middle-class neighborhood was close to Lockheed (now Burbank airport). There were a lot of engineers living in Glendale in those days. Engineers and test pilots, etc. All living with the great enthusiasm of our best generation. Some of those men would talk about strange things they had seen in flight. The one story I remember going around was this one: “The Russians are messing with the clouds. They could change the weather.” At that time it was too hard to imagine such a thing. Now as I look at the “weather” balloon issue with the Chinese and we are finally told how many of them have been put up in the last several years, I have to wonder: are the Chinese messing with the clouds? Are they trying to change the weather patterns? Seventy years later is that still such a hard thing to imagine?
TerryFebruary 11, 2023, 11:37 AM
Our dot gov is spraying the skies and has been since WW-2. Look at the sky. Do you see trails behind jet aircraft? Notice that these trails do not disappear. Read what is out there about this. Good starting place linked below.
One of the many USAF bases these C-17 aircraft come from is just south of Sacramento, Cali. I have a neighbor here in ID that has a friend in the USAF that services these particular C-17’s.
A sign over the cockpit door in one C-17 reads “Spray, spray, spray and let God sort them out.”
This is going on all over the world. Remember when B. Gates made the statement, ” . . . manufacture clouds and shade the planet to control crop production . . . ” IOW, starve people to death.
azlibertarianFebruary 11, 2023, 8:02 PM
Terry, if you really believe this, you’ve fallen for one of the million or so wack-a-doodles on the internet who make it so hard to rely on what you read.
No. No. And no. The contrails that you see overhead are not “chem-trails”. Contrails are simply moisture in the air that has been converted into ice crystals (thereby making a visible trail) after passing through a high altitude jet engine. What you’re seeing is no more dangerous than the steam that rises off your morning bowl of oatmeal.
And FWIW, I’m a retired airline pilot with over 24,000 hours covering 42 years of flying. Your citation is complete bunk.
ghostsniperFebruary 12, 2023, 7:16 AM
AZ, did you view the video at the link Terry cited?
What were the additional “contrails” that were coming from the aircraft intermittently between the ones that were continuous?
Also, how come the contrails today seem to last for hours in the sky but those from many years ago seemed to disperse in 15 mins or so?
I don’t believe one way or the other but I do tend to be against anything even remotely associated with this shitty assed gov’t.
Lastly, the content creators on the web have sole responsibility for the validity of what they post, not the people that simply pass it on. Have you ever passed on something that was later established as untrue? Were you responsible for that untruthfulness of that content?
azlibertarianFebruary 13, 2023, 8:36 AM
I was out-of-town with the ‘grands yesterday and responded here from my tablet. I guess that my response got lost in some filter, but I’ll try to recreate it.
No, I hadn’t watched that video, but now that I have, it is bunk too.
In the very first second…I mean at the first instance…of the video in the citation, you hear background music suggesting the ominous nature of the topic it presents. That first note of background music is revealing. It is Clue #1 that everything thereafter is snake-oil.
Once past the first second, the narrator goes on to tell us that the airplane is a “tanker”….an “Airbus A340-200”. Terry asked me to do a little research. Tell ya’ what, Ghost and Terry….do a little research yourself. Open up your Google machine to the A340 and find me the variant developed as a tanker. I’ll wait as you do that.
Terry tells me that the USAF sprayed from airplanes during the Vietnam war….and this is something that is well documented and not denied by any serious person [Personal note: My father died of multiple myeloma, a relatively rare blood cancer that he believed he developed after spending his year in areas heavily sprayed by Agent Orange. Agent Orange and Multiple Myloma.]. Terry also tells me of photos of spray equipment installed on current-day C17s. Evidence, instead of assertions, of this shouldn’t be hard to find.
Now that you’ve done your research on the A340, you will have found that there are three basic types of A340 design….Passenger variants, Cargo variants, and Private variants (which might be considered Passenger variants). There are no “tanker” variants. These don’t exist. Moreover, had someone found the need for such a variant, the development, engineering, installation, and flight testing of these spray modifications would have had to be overseen by the relevant authorities–the FAA and the EUSA–before these hypothetical tanker variants of the A340 (or any other aircraft type, for that matter) could be flown. This too should be easily available with only a small amount of google-fu. Help me out here guys….show me some real evidence, as opposed to something produced by a wack-a-doodle on the internet….that these tankers actually exist. [BTW, I am well aware of fire-fighting tankers. But fire-fighting tankers deliver their fluids from very low altitude and this is not the claim being made. The Chem-Trail Believers believe that hundreds if not thousands of these planes fly across us at high altitude every day changing the weather or our biologies with some chemical.]
And once you’ve found the planes with their spray equipment secreted aboard, what about the spray itself? I’ll assume that this is a liquid of some type. How does that fluid find itself on a plane? Are there fleets of trucks at every airport everywhere which pump it aboard? Is it delivered by an underground pumping system? Are these trucks or pumping systems fed by tanks of this fluid found somewhere on the airfield? Surely some evidence of this fluid also exists, amirite? Inquiring minds, guys! Google, go!
But never mind the contrail/chem-trail question for a minute. Take a look at the skies above you. How often do you see some high, thin, whispy clouds above? It is not uncommon to see skies that look like any of these images. There is cloud vapor at some points, and then seemingly just a few yards away (or maybe its hundreds of yards at that distance), the air is clear of this vapor. Why is that?
The answer is very simple: Everything that you know as “weather”….every single thing….is due to the uneven heating of the earth’s surface. Clouds (of all their various types), wind, rain, snow, hurricanes….everything considered “weather” is created because the earth and sky is not uniformly heated.
The cloud vapor is sometimes here, and not there, because the air itself is not uniform. There are slight variations in the heat and humidity found at one place and what might be found just a few yards away.
And when an airplane passes through this non-uniform air, it will sometimes produce a contrail, and at other moments not, simply due to these differences in the air itself. There is no pilot turning his non-existent chem-trail equipment alternatively on and off (BTW, do the chem-trail adherents have a theory as to why he would do this? Never mind. Forget I asked.)
Obviously, the combustion in a jet engine produces an exhaust. And if one wants to go all Greta Thunburg on me and insist that we need to shut down aviation and go straight to a Green Nude Eel, then OK….we probably don’t have much else to talk about.
But I contend that what you claim are chem-trails are simply water vapor turned into ice crystals, and no more dangerous to you than the steam that rises from your morning bowl of oatmeal.
TerryFebruary 12, 2023, 7:36 PM
azlib,
You may be better informed if you research the con trail / chem trail information that is out there. Also, I am a licensed A & P mechanic with USAF experience as well as civilian aircraft.
Look into turbine engine water vapor emissions as compared to chemical dispersion from turbofan engine powered craft.
Does ground visible water vapor from turbine powered aircraft, in visible form stay visible for hours? Answer, no.
Do some research. I am not a fool nor idiot. I was in the Air Force during Nam. I was privy to the shit the bastards were spraying on our own troops. I have seen photos of the storage and pumping, plumbing systems in the C-17’s the USAF is flying now. They are not flying thousands of hours spraying Daisey’s. Think aluminum oxide, graphene, and who knows what else. Study the hazards of aluminum and graphene inhalation by humans, animals and etc.
Next time you are on the golf course in a northern latitude state, look up at the sky. The spraying is nearly daily where I live.
My intent is not to be rude in my reply. However, ignorance in my common fellow is difficult to stomach as of lately.
In other words, open your mind. We are under attack here, in case you may not have noticed. Wink, wink. Do you remember COVID-19 . . . ?
Well, after enduring the cruelty of being taunted on the internet I decided to give in and read Moby Dick. It’s really not so bad. The first part is pretty scary, when the girl goes swimming and Moby Dick bites her leg off. I just got to the part where Queequeg tells Captain Ahab that they must return to port and get a bigger whaling ship. Great story! Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

“ … no man can ever feel his own identity aright except his eyes be closed; as if darkness were indeed the proper element of our essences, though light be more congenial to our clayey part.” Chapter XI, Moby Dick
That’s almost one of Melville’s throwaway lines, but it’s worthy of a meditation unto itself. The novel is filled with such lines.
John A. FlemingFebruary 12, 2023, 8:13 PM
I read somewhere that even the 19th century folks found Moby Dick a tough slog. Those folks were all raised on the King James Bible, and Melville’s verse is closer to that than it is to 19th century vernacular. Today, if we read the Bible at all, it is a dumbed down version with a text that is no longer magisterial, but instead talks about some people doing some things. I really did have to slow down and chew on each paragraph, reading them several times to make sure I got it all.
Casey KlahnFebruary 12, 2023, 6:50 AM
Now we wake up daily wondering about the next thing in the sky that will be reported. I don’t subscribe to the theory that it is made up, although I do parse every piece of official info because my bullshit meter has already begun to spike. Gaslighting you is what they do, but remember that if some civilian with an iPhone hadn’t reported a balloon in the sky, the gubmint may not have told you anything. Use your logic, citizen. Just because the DOD moulds the story to keep you scared doesn’t divulge what is or isn’t happening.
What I can note so far is that if you draw a line from Deadhorse, AK to the shoot-down map-dot in The Yukon, the tangent goes to Montana and the pathway of the Xhina balloon. An alien ship won’t glide the airstream, but a lighter than air object has and logic suggests that’s what we’ve had in AK and Canada. I’m less than enamored with the pentagon’s UFO description, or new term: UAP/ Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (wretch!) of the last two kinetic shoot downs. You gotta ask your self why the pentagon even wants you in the loop. Because they don’t want you in any loop. You tripped into the event because of Montana Man. Now, anything they tell you is rigged to explode in your mind, whether true or so subtly nuanced as to make your mind boil over.
So, I’m watching Independence day on Hulu because it’s fun. Pretty sure we’re not being invaded by spacemen, though. My list of thoughts on why and what the pentagon (Biden administration) wants me to know: they’re Johnny on the Spot at new shoot-downs (means Biden is Dark and ready to defend the galaxy). Xhina is a bad actor. Maybe so. There is a “Domain Blind Spot”. Means there truly is some shit they haven’t got a handle on, and anything you see that sounds slippery is because of military unreadiness. Means: are these objects gay enough? Did you see the euro-style Defense minister from Canada? She looks like her next meth dose is waiting on her desk at work, and her knowledge of the military arts is near zero.
In review, the things chart on a map as balloons, and until I hear otherwise they’re Chinese (with some English writing, which doesn’t surprise me at all), and My BS meter is turned up to full sensitivity and that includes questioning everything, and ruling out nothing. I told you I need an M2 BMG and a palette of pew pew parts to support it, and now you see why I need it.
ghostsniperFebruary 12, 2023, 7:27 AM
Like you, if I didn’t see it with my own ocular glands, it’s questionable.
Speaking of questions, have you ever seen a full size commercial size aircraft at 40,000 ft?
It’s smaller than this period —–>. , and most of the time you can’t even hear them.
That “weather balloon” was supposed to be 200′ tall but pretty narrow, so looking at it from down here on the ground it would be pretty hard to see, I’d think.
Further, an Iphone?
I’m unaware that those things have any sort of superior viewing power.
I place all of this UAP/ Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon stuff in the same pigeon hole as the covid and all things gov’t/media derived, as speculative at best and an outright lie. My ocular glands don’t lie.
Casey KlahnFebruary 12, 2023, 11:02 AM
I agree with asking that question because it’s true you wouldn’t see anything that is at 60,000 feet. However, the balloon goes up and down on command, and there is some interesting shit to see and hear in Montana. Yes, Montana Man and his local news director there (he called the news guy who came over with a long reflex lens camera) could be crisis actors for all I know. But, until and when things said by people become absolutely garbled, I try to run scenarios based on maybe it’s true. Some guys in MT saw things, then some jets off the SC coast shot a balloon down.
But who knows? BTW your lying eyes is a good eagles lyric, iirc. Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see was a pretty good line many years ago, too.
Bottom line is everything you’re told, even and often especially the true things, are modulated to gaslight you silly. RN they have the air over Lake Michigan boxed out as a military only zone. Which I find hilarious because aviators do what they want.
ghostsniperFebruary 12, 2023, 12:27 PM
Coupla nooz doodz put this all together, eh?
If we lived in a country where the politicians were mostly non-criminal there would be a law that stipulated any news source putting out unverified articles would be subject to, within 30 days of event, a sentence of 10 years at hard labor and forfeiture of all property.

This past hour the pentagon informs us they were balloons. Gee, thanks. Either the DC elites are completely disconnected from the citizenry, and could not give 2 octagonal and spherical shits what you know, or they are disseminating the information in cunning and threatening ways (5th G Warfare). I believe both are true. The Biden pentagon wants to excrete you out and the only thing keeping them from flushing you is that you are a useful product.
I’ll add this fully personal point of view, and it sounds like trolling but I’ve always held to this: if the skies fill with Xhina balloons, or space aliens, you’ll be glad to have an air force 5 times bigger than it is now. Instead, we want to diversify into the leanest limpest USAF we can. The Lake Huron shoot down was accomplished by guardsmen (reserves).

Well. Xhina (good appellation Casey, I’m going to use it) is now just toying with us. Their first one this year was a real sigint platform, and our spooks in true spy-vs-spy fashion thought that they would quietly observe it as it observes us and classify knowledge of it as TS/, until those wretched citizens in Montana declassified their plans and caused exceptionally grave damage to the reputation of the federal government of the United States. Now they are embarrassed, the whole world and the American citizens are laughing at their cluelessness, impotence, and lack of spine. The U.S. Air Force really has quite lost all face.
Now the faceless USAF has activated for once the ADIZ, and anything with a radar return that crosses the border above FL180 without an aviation transponder is going to be shot down. I’d set the altitude high enough so that the USAF couldn’t reach it with their fighters and shoot it down with cannons, but instead have to expend air-to-air missiles.
So what does Xhina do? Start sending cylindrical and octagon balloons with probably scrap metal for ballast and a simple radio payload, forcing the USAF to spend scads of $$ to shoot them down. At least that’s what I would do if I were Xhina, I’d send them every day and watch the USAF response. What’s the US gonna do? Send a pleading whiny letter to Xhina begging them to stop? Ask the United Nations to censure Xhina? And then if I were Xhina, I’d upgrade the payloads and keep sending one or two every day so the USAF couldn’t tell that they weren’t a real or fake sigint payload. And I’d do it for weeks and months, just for the lulz to see the gordian knots that the US government and its woke Air Force would tie itself into.

At breakfast this morning our waitress told us she saw the “first” balloon using a spotting scope at her home a few miles north of where I live. This would be east central Idaho about 45+ degrees latitude. It was visible with the naked eye due to the sun angle.
There are balloons aloft all the time. There was one over a huge wild fire most of the summer where I live. The dot gov described it “as large as a football stadium”. Altitude was approximately 60,000 ft. according to a newspaper article here. It was visible to the naked eye. I have no idea how it was able to maintain a nearly stable location for so long a time. ??? Anyone have an answer for this? I looked at the balloon with a pair of binoculars supported against a porch support almost daily. Same general area of view.
Dot gov reason for this balloon: “observation purposes”
ghostsniperFebruary 13, 2023, 4:13 AM
Is this a thing now, people sitting around with spotting scopes scanning the skies? I have a 300X spotting scope, maybe I should break it out and take up this new and exciting hobby!
(have plenty of porch supports, and a couple of tripods)
Who could have imagined all the wonderful things just beyond the natural focal length of the human ocular glands?
hooodathunkitFebruary 13, 2023, 7:42 PM
“I have no idea how it was able to maintain a nearly stable location for so long a time. ?”
Been done for years; see Google’s Project Loon. Balloons’ height is limited by the edge of the atmosphere, about 60,000 to 85,000 feet. It’s the limits of “air”, but “air” is 1/20-1/30 the density and doesn’t move much. Currents are weak as there’s no “air” there, and no thermal winds can reach that high.
With the China balloon, copied from Google’s, movement can be controlled by altering altitude as the slow air currents vary at different heights. There’s also an electric motor and prop, and the spar-mounted solar cells can be used as sails like a sailboat.
‘Loon’ kept their balloons mainly over Africa, but could keep them on-station for weeks, within a 10-15 mile radius. Not hard to understand.

There are only two kinds of glands associated with the eye. Quote:
“Tears lubricate the eye and are made up of three layers. These three layers together are called the tear film. The mucous layer is made by the conjunctiva. The watery part of the tears is made by the LACRIMAL GLAND. The eye’s lacrimal gland sits under the outside edge of the eyebrow (away from the nose) in the orbit. The MEIBOMIAN gland makes the oil that becomes another part of the tear film. Tears drain from the eye through the tear duct.” (Emphasis mine.)
Your ocular glands “don’t lie”. They also don’t see anything. (Ever.)

I said, “What game?”
I’ve never seen more than about 5 mins continuous of any sports ball and that is only because it was on at somebodies house or in a restaurant. Some of the most unbelievably boring stuff ever invented. I’m researching CNC machines and may pull the trigger later this week.

What I did instead of watching the super bowl: Listen to an Amish family play bluegrass music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0CrXBzFV0I , take the dog for a run, drove my Chevy 4×4 to the river and watched the sun go down while sipping bourbon from the bottle with my sweet heart of 25 years. Then went home and made popcorn and watched Clarkson’s Farm while petting the cat.

Terry,
Read part of the link.
In the first 2 paragraphs it stated Ukraine was shelling civilian areas within Ukraine PRIOR to Russia invading Ukraine.
Then is asks this:
So, the question we must all ask ourselves is this: Is the bombardment and slaughter of one’s own people an ‘act of war’?
Going only on what the article says up to that point I would say yes. Certainly the people that are being victimized believe so.
Then it says this:
We think it is. And if we are right, then we must logically assume that the war began before the Russian invasion (which was launched a full week later) We must also assume that Russia’s alleged “unprovoked aggression” was not unprovoked at all but was the appropriate humanitarian response to the deliberate killing of civilians.
My question is, who gave Russia the right to invade Ukraine?
Is there some kinda law on the books that states if Russia doesn’t like the behavior in another country it has the right to invade it? If so, can it invade other countries under the same premise? And if so, does that mean that ANY country can invade ANY other country under the same premise?
The article skips over that part.
It goes straight from Ukraine gov’t shelling it’s own citizens to, for reasons unknown, Russia starts invading.
Just asking cause I really don’t know.
Paying attention to this stuff because it may very well have a consequence here in the US pretty soon.

This is a response to all the good comments upthread about the Xhina Spy Balloon/Joe Biden Mess. Terry, John Fleming, Ghost.
I really despise the shitz on Twitter who post sensational garbage, but at least it’s better managed garbage now than before Musk. It feels like a free speech platform; whether it is or not who knows? Here are some random thoughts I have and I try to avoid sensationalism or rumor, but I do enjoy humor and also I want to ask questions to sort out the possibilities of what is happening.
Where’s Biden on all this? Even fukn Bill Pullman knew to address the nation immediately when something like this goes down. FFS, when your POTUS is worse than your fictional movie president. I understand he’s appointed Kamala Harris as the new Interstellar War Czar. Trudeau, for his part, has implemented a new balloon shoot-down tax to combat global watching.
OK, that was humor. Now some questions. Military craft will have 3 types of payload: transported troops, surveillance for intelligence gathering, or kinetic (bombs). My wife adds that another purpose could just be a dummy craft to see what we do about them. What if they are just sending weather balloons to make us deploy early and then hit us somewhere else or later?
I reject the theories of this being a CIA Op for the only purpose of distraction, but OTOH if the actual events lead to distraction, that is a tactic used by the CIA. More to my way of thinking is the following question: what if Biden, et all, has ordered every weather balloon flying to be shot down in an act of pure juvenile behavior, to cover his ass for being a wimp over the Feb. 4th/ Montana to SC balloon? CYA as we used to say/ cover your ass.
If they can forensically tie the wreckages to Xi, or his military loose cannon leaders, then we must tell them to stop and in no uncertain terms. It is not benign but rather it is a severe intelligence loss. I fear, however, that Biden is incapable, unwilling, beholden to Xhina, evil, dark…all of the above. As it now stands, his admin is leaking information out a day at a time and very little of it is helpful, and most of it is harmful, to we the people. I resent it and I’m mad as hell. There is security of military affairs, but there’s also incompetence and malign intent afoot.
Where is Gen. Milley, who was soooo forthright and interested in the Trump presidency that he had to money-wrench it repeatedly to “save America”?? What’s his stand on Biden’s military prowess? Milley’s a joke, a joker, and a fool with 4 stars. Don’t get me started on Gen. Austin (SecState)! He’s queering the balloons first, and asking questions later. Biden and his whole administration including his top military brass need to take that long walk out the front gate and I mean yesterday.
I’m rather an anti-fan of military aviators, but right now I am brushing up on my F-22, F-18, F-16 identifications, and also my HARM and AIM missile specs. Here in Eastern WA, we have big clear skies and I rest on a potential flight path of a Xhina balloon if they exist. I have binos and a hunter’s spotting scope and a bit of time on my hands.
ghostsniperFebruary 13, 2023, 7:15 AM
Us bridge burners and ground pounders aren’t “allowed” to know jack shitski so we have to dig on our own best we can. 100% of the gov’t-media (GM) leaks have an agenda and are not bound by truth.
Are the “things in the sky” (TITS) real? Dunno.
If the TITS are real are they from xina? Dunno.
If the TITS are real and from xina why are they happening, keeping in mind your definition of payload?
Then yes, xina should be told (should have already been told (why wasn’t xina aware already?) to knock it off).
Now, if any foreign country, that does not have prior approval, interferes with the airspace above any other country, isn’t there already international laws/rules/treaties in place to deal with it?
Have there been any communications between TPTB in the US and TPTB in xina?
IOW, has anyone on this planet shown any sense of responsibility at all for any of this stuff?
Casey KlahnFebruary 13, 2023, 7:24 AM
NORAD says it is recalibrating its radars to find these small objects at various altitudes and under varying conditions. At the same time, it’s evident that visual and electronic acquirement of these little devils is an intermittent thing, and there are blind spots and failings in our ability to see and track the,. They also have actively scrambled the fighter jet radars. It’s like when I see a coyote at 600 or 700 yards away, and he appears, disappears, reappears in his cunning way of using camouflage and concealment. We call him the Prairie Ghost. Anyway, they had one over Montana. Lost it, then found it over Lake Michigan, then lost it, then reacquired it over Lake Huron. Either we suck badly, or Xhina has some cunning tech. on these bastards. This tidbit of into makes me think they are Xhinese vehicles, because a weather balloon doesn’t scrap that hard, and we’re not that queer yet.
ghostsniperFebruary 13, 2023, 7:40 AM
Casey sed: “Either we suck badly, or Xhina has some cunning tech. on these bastards.”
=========
Change that “we” to GM and yes, incompetency is a built-in handicap for all criminal entities.
I am not part of that “we” business.
And regarding the 2nd part of your sentence, YES!
Look at the record.
Even if you only know about that which has been “leaked”, the selling of info to xina, the allowing of xina operatives in all levels of US gov’t, etc, and contrast the fact that xina has been scaling tech superlatives for at least 2 decades while the people in power in the US squabble over everything genitalia, is it any wonder this shit is going on?
As you already know, this rotten assed gov’t doesn’t give one shit about the citizenry and if you believe your life has value then you need to stand your flabby ass the fuck up and be ready to do whatever the hell it takes, in all ways, to preserve it because nobody else will and your worst nightmare is a lot closer to you than you have been programmed to believe. Yes, you need a full squad rack of war grade weapons and people to man them.

…..second portion….
–Link Removed– There is cloud vapor at some points, and then seemingly just a few yards away (or maybe its hundreds of yards at that distance), the air is clear of this vapor.
But I remain convinced that what you claim are chem-trails are simply water vapor turned into ice crystals, and no more dangerous to you than the steam that rises from your morning bowl of oatmeal.
azlibertarianFebruary 13, 2023, 9:03 AM
Alright, I’m gonna try this a fourth time and then give up, this time breaking my comment into two parts and removing the links to see if that gets this published. After this though, I’m out….I’ve got other things to do today.
First portion……
–Link Removed–].
…continued…
azlibertarianFebruary 13, 2023, 9:06 AM
Ghost and Terry,
I’ve tried 4 times now to have a reply to you published here, and even after removing all links and italics, there is something about the first portion that won’t allow it to be published. TL:DR version: The citation, video included is complete bunk. Chem-trails are a tinfoil-hat fantasy.
And I’m moving on.

Looked up that B33, man, that thing looks brutal on the ass bones.

JWM
JWM

Here’s some more to consider regarding the question of who blew up the Nordstream pipelines.
https://oalexanderdk.substack.com/p/blowing-holes-in-seymour-hershs-pipe
Best meal I ever had was Hasenbraten, roast rabbit, at a gasthaus at the bottom of the hill from the monastery (bock bier) in Kreuzberg.
I believe you.
Is this what Gerard died from? glioblastoma Brain cancer
Blastoma… is a neon glowing word in my lexicon.
.
Hi, V-Friends,
Listening to this made me think of AD. Maybe Gerard posted it sometime in the past, but if he didn’t, I’d like to think he would have at some point.
https://youtu.be/X7SvBtJuh3Y
Nice. Very nice.
I don’t recall Gerard ever posting this one.
No doubt, Gerard would have definitely posted a piece like this, Humdeedee. Thanks.
It’s a heartache type of song, but it gives me feelings like PTSD when I hear it. Possibly because of the movie.
A tug on the heart. Thank you.
oohhhhh . . .
Our dot gov is spraying the skies and has been since WW-2. Look at the sky. Do you see trails behind jet aircraft? Notice that these trails do not disappear. Read what is out there about this. Good starting place linked below.
https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/undeniable-footage-of-jet-aircraft-spraying/
But I contend that what you claim are chem-trails are simply water vapor turned into ice crystals, and no more dangerous to you than the steam that rises from your morning bowl of oatmeal.
azlib,
You may be better informed if you research the con trail / chem trail information that is out there.
JWM
Hmmm… you sure that’s Moby Dick and not another story with the Moby Dick jacket around it?
I thought the captain was Quint?
Ya… and the ships name was the “Peapod”.
It’s an abridged version.
All goofin’ aside, I’m goin’ for it. Read ch1 last night.
JWM
“ … no man can ever feel his own identity aright except his eyes be closed; as if darkness were indeed the proper element of our essences, though light be more congenial to our clayey part.” Chapter XI, Moby Dick
That’s almost one of Melville’s throwaway lines, but it’s worthy of a meditation unto itself. The novel is filled with such lines.
Coupla nooz doodz put this all together, eh?
If we lived in a country where the politicians were mostly non-criminal there would be a law that stipulated any news source putting out unverified articles would be subject to, within 30 days of event, a sentence of 10 years at hard labor and forfeiture of all property.
The google news line up on the afternoon of the 10th, notice anything?

Is this a thing now, people sitting around with spotting scopes scanning the skies? I have a 300X spotting scope, maybe I should break it out and take up this new and exciting hobby!
(have plenty of porch supports, and a couple of tripods)
Who could have imagined all the wonderful things just beyond the natural focal length of the human ocular glands?

(Ever.)

A statement of fact is simply that: a statement of fact.
Reasonable people consider indisputable statements of fact.
This factual statement could have been posted by anyone.
Your name-calling is irrelevant to the statement of fact, and says a lot more about you than it does about the commenter.
Does anyone have an email address to which I can send a fascinating article that would develop a lot of discussion? Joe Krill

I said, “What game?”
I’ve never seen more than about 5 mins continuous of any sports ball and that is only because it was on at somebodies house or in a restaurant. Some of the most unbelievably boring stuff ever invented. I’m researching CNC machines and may pull the trigger later this week.
Negrolatory is already a demanding, difficult credal religion without throwing in a half-time show and inane commentary. I’d rather burn in Hell.

I used to come here at the end of the day for “something wonderful.”
Nice music. I love Clrkson’s Farm!
Thanks for the CF tip, I’ll check it out. I’ve heard of that dood before.

More Ukraine and not propaganda:
Mike Whitney
http://www.ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/featured-articles/2023/february/08/setting-the-record-straight-stuff-you-should-know-about-ukraine/
Terry,
Read part of the link.
Casey sed: “Either we suck badly, or Xhina has some cunning tech. on these bastards.”
=========
–Link Removed– There is cloud vapor at some points, and then seemingly just a few yards away (or maybe its hundreds of yards at that distance), the air is clear of this vapor.
But I remain convinced that what you claim are chem-trails are simply water vapor turned into ice crystals, and no more dangerous to you than the steam that rises from your morning bowl of oatmeal.
Alright, I’m gonna try this a fourth time and then give up, this time breaking my comment into two parts and removing the links to see if that gets this published. After this though, I’m out….I’ve got other things to do today.
First portion……
–Link Removed–].
…continued…
Ghost and Terry,
I’ve tried 4 times now to have a reply to you published here, and even after removing all links and italics, there is something about the first portion that won’t allow it to be published. TL:DR version: The citation, video included is complete bunk. Chem-trails are a tinfoil-hat fantasy.
And I’m moving on.
I know the feeling, it’s happened to me a few times too.
