Beautiful and a beautiful blue eye.

Donned my bold assed red MAGA hat at 8am this morn and it will remain mounted (excpet during showers) til Wed @ 8am. I’ll be sleeping on our recliner couch in a mostly upright position with a 12ga close at hand and a bottle of FB right there on the table for sippin purposes. I double dog dare ya!

And that Puffin up there?, he’s a silly goose.

The polls were never meaningful, but they are just straight up fiction now.

“Stunning poll reveals Kamala Harris has taken the lead over Trump in unexpected state as momentum swings to VP with three days left.”

Sure it has. When literally nothing has happened and nothing has been done. What passes for “democracy” in America is now little more than a scripted fraud. Remember, Kamala couldn’t get more than one percent support in the Democratic primaries.

Pure fiction, no matter what “happens” in what is supposed to pass for an election next week.

If Trump wins the electoral convention….
    ===========
This is how it MAY go on 6 Jan 2025.
You remember the name Jamie Raskin, right?

This video is deep, and intense, and you have to wade through a lot of BS but by about 15 mins in it starts to make sense. Granted, I’m no brain when it comes to stuff this deep but if you’re capable of thinking and paying attention to detail you can make sense of it.

I downloaded it for more intense investigation in the future.
I surprised Youtube is allowing this to stay up.

I’m with you Ghost. I’m gonna get a sixer of Coor’s, and if things don’t go the right way, I’ll be drunk for the first time in about 40 years. Maybe even if things go the right way.
    God help us all.

These next days are the interesting times we’ve been threatened with. Glad I live in a rural area of a deep red state. I wish the best of luck to those of you in a city …
(WA and OR have readied the Natl Guard. Can’t recall when that’s been necessary before)

    Soon
    ====

When Trump wins, the country will explode in violence, dwarfing the Floyd Riots. The violence is already planned, organized, and lavishly funded by myriad people and groups. This is no secret. The intention to unleash it in 2020 if other methods of cheating Trump failed was admitted, with specific details, in an infamous Time article in 2021. The amount of money and organization behind this carefully-planned violence, whose leaders never need fear exposure, or punishment for “seditious conspiracy” or “insurrection,” at least not yet, is immense. It will be executed by the Regime’s paramilitaries, filthy Antifa freaks and their hangers-on. We can also can expect targeted political killings, of those on the Right seen as a threat to Left dominance—historically always a signature move of the cornered Left.

I’ve got my plans for Election Day already laid out.
    * I will wake before dawn (which isn’t unusual for me), dress in my “I’m voting for the Outlaw and the Hillbilly” t-shirt and depending how much before dawn I’m up, I’ll get out for a short walk.
    * Then, the coffee.
    * Breakfast will probably be my usual protein shake which consists of a good portion of spinach, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries and 20 grams of vegan protein blended with coconut milk.
    * Sometime soon after breakfast my bride and I will head 45 minutes east of us to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum . We’ve been before and enjoyed it, and it is worth returning to see it again. The price is right too: this time of year, the first Tuesday of the month is free.
    * There may be an errand or two on the way back home, but I don’t anticipate tuning in to any political news before the mid-afternoon. The TV and internet throughout the day will be filled with talking heads repeating themselves and there’ll be little-to-nothing to hear about till bedtime at the very earliest.
    * Sometime in the evening I may or may not break into the liquor cabinet, which isn’t a cabinet but instead one of the upper shelves of our pantry. I won’t decide what I’ll grab until the moment. There’s a host of whisky to choose from (What is the plural of a whisky without an “e”?), a tequila or two, Baileys, and a homemade Limencello that we picked up in Italy earlier this year.

Regardless of how the election turns out, I’ll try to remember this: I’ve encountered very few things in life that have turned out to be as good as was promised or as bad as was feared. We’ll survive this.

    If Trump doesn’t win.
    ===============

Trump and Musk and a few of their wealthy friends (Trump Associates United) should go out and start their own new country.
Maybe on a large uninhabited island close to one of the tropics.
If they did that within seconds I would be at the passport office saddling up.

But, if TAU started their own airline they could dismiss the whole notion of passports, which are nothing more than bounty theft for the criminal communist state, and let people in whether they had a passport or not.

If no passport was required, asap I would cash in, liquidate everything, and I’d be there as quick as possible. I’d instantly establish an architectural design & building construction business, with a side hustle of tactical weaponry. A hoon can dream can’t he?

Thing is, if Trump does not win, this country will then be on a fast track downhill as the criminals will now be riding rocket sleds from hell and who wants to deal with that? Let em burn it all down, then wait em out and in about 10 years come back and kill all the survivors, D9 all the corpses, and start all over. America II, a New Beginning.

My DH and I have been thinking about starting a “Men’s college”. It is not illegal. Would love to have your thoughts.

    • John A. Fleming November 5, 2024, 10:53 AM

It would be hard to keep it men-only. There will always be a few women who want the same thing these men do, and the men would welcome them. When I was in engineering college, we appreciated the few women who were with us. They were willing to overlook our student shenanigans because we all had the same real goals: good career, good family, real work. My wife was/is the same way, she wants the same thing men want in terms of lifetime of work, no girly-girl stuff for her.

It’s different now. I just read that Cal Tech is now majority women students, sic transit gloria mundi. IYKYK.

Offer courses of study that will attract the minimum number of women. Offer courses that attract the minimum number of women instructors. Construction trades, oilfield and mining, ranching, if you are thinking to offer courses of interest to the local folks.

Updating whomever is reading. I still feel wrung out after my short trip to the ER Friday late-Saturday early. I have a follow-up appointment in town with an unknown doc my PC doc turfed me to (I do appreciate her but this is a royal PITA). No apparent malady but also on the mend. Maybe it’s good to be out of tune on election day.

One of my cohorts is traveling east of the mountains to a remote bird hunting site with his dogs, and totally out of cell and news coverage. Total bliss for the next few days. I told him if he saw Spokane burning on the horizon he still won’t know who won.

I haven’t gamed out in my mind what my responses and feelings will be if an egregious BIG CHEAT stealing of the election occurs similar to the 2020 cheat/steal. Need to penetrate the mental fog and arrive at a plan for that. The scenarios are many.

I’m wearing my red MAGA hat sideways today, acting like I’m a gangsta.
I grabbed a gat and told Shannon to go make me a sando and she whined then laid on the floor, giving me that side eye. Recognizing she wasn’t going to obey my demand I said, “FINE! I’ll make my own dam sando!”, and I marched to the house. Made up a 2 can batch of tuna salad and slammed a big gob on a whole wheat roll with a big slab of neighbor Jim Bond’s “Celebrity” tomato right on top. With a side order of cheezy pop corn. Came back out here to my office and Shannon smelled that cheez a mile away. She put the side eyes away and put her usual “po’ lil’ ol’ me” eyeballs back to work. She got a handful of pop corn. Then her and me went down in the dark forest to scope out the new deadfall from all the recent wind.

Shannon was over by the creek, all crouched down, and barking. I went over there and a little paint turtle was getting on her nerve. I picked it up and saw it was a male about 5″ across. I told him he needs to get his ass in the house cause the air was gonna get cold real soon, and I set him back down.

It’s 76 degrees right now and the sun is shining bright. I sat down on the deck floor and leaned back and down, looking up at the blue sky through the empty branches of a white oak tree. Shannon came over and laid down, almost right up on top of me. I told her to get off cause I can’t breath and she pretended to not know what I said and stayed right where she was. So I rolled over and got up and she sat upright and looked at me, “What are we gonna do now?”

I said, “I’m gonna go in and change the type of stone on the front of the Gatewood residence I am designing and you can do whatever you want.” She followed me into the office and right now she’s wound up around the spokes of my chair…she just has to be touching me as much as she can…not that there’s anything wrong with that!

I’m going to really miss this cast of characters and story tellers when the year is up.

  • John A. Fleming November 5, 2024, 1:57 PM

Well, I’m going to take the afternoon off and go work on my sailboat. Avoid the looming madness. Just when I fixed one leak (the portlights were leaking and I finally got the last one back in), I noticed a leak in the chainplates and water is getting inside the boat and starting to affect the plywood bulkhead the chainplate is attached to. Arrgh, it never stops. Boats! They just sit in the marina and fall apart. They fall apart faster when you sail them.

One of the Rule #1 of boats is: Keep the water on the outside.

To do it properly, I’d completely remove the chainplate, fix all the wood damage, and re-bed the chainplate through-deck. But I haven’t got time for that, and the winter rains are coming. So I’m just going to slather marine caulk all around the exterior joint and hope that will hold it until I can schedule a proper repair.

And, sorry about the nautical terminology. IYKYK. When you buy a sailboat you have to learn a whole new set of words. Everything on a sailboat has to have a very specific name so you can communicate with your crew, otherwise when you are out sailing and something needs to be done right now, “pull on that … umm, err, string” or “grab that … thingy, you know, that one over there” doesn’t cut it. The person you are talking to looks at you like you are a gibbering idiot, which you are until you can remember the name of the thing or the line.

    • ghostsniper November 5, 2024, 2:30 PM

The 2 best days in a boat owners life are the day he buys it and the day he sells it.
      And.
A boat is a hole in the water that you throw all your money into.

    • John A. Fleming November 5, 2024, 10:22 PM

Well, that turned out to be an easier job than I thought it would be. It’s not over, but I re-bedded the external deck plate, and got new goo in all the water leak paths. I had to clean out all the 30-yr-old sealant from the original install. They used silicone sealant and it was probably not UV-stable, and eventually corroded where exposed. I put in some UV-stable methoxysilane sealant, and that should take care of it for now.

The port-side chainplate is not leaking … yet. But now that I know what to do, it will be easier to re-caulk that one. Easy job, only will take two hours, but I have to be work careful so I don’t drop any of the parts in the water.

Oh, and boat: Break Out Another Thousand. And that’s just for my small fun sailing boat. Glad I don’t have a big one. Or an airplane.

On to the next job: install a new sink. I’m going to have to be a contortionist for that, and there are blind holddown screws that that have to be reached in some very tight spaces. It was bloody hell to get the old sink out, it’s gonna be worse to get the new one in. I’ve been puzzling over this for a long time, how to install that.

Maybe this election has some good news, but like 2020 those midwestern filthy commie power-mad scum are starting to bring in truckloads of mystery “ballots” to “fortify” the election. We’ll see. It seems like Montana is flushing out most of the old-guard Democrats, we’ll see if the new Republicans can actually deliver on promises of liberty.

      • ghostsniper November 6, 2024, 6:42 AM

See if you can anchor a Rubbermaid bin in the water next to the boat to catch anything you will probably drop. lol

For that sink, remove the existing countertop and take it into the garage and install the new sink and faucet, then reinstall the whole thing back in the boat. By removing the countertop you may see other things down in there that need to be addressed.

    Now this is Funny.

I had to look at it a few times to understand what was going on.
    Yes, I LAUGHED OUT LOUD.

Woke up, drank a cup or two of coffee, went to town, voted (with picture ID and address checked twice), and came home. No problems – and don’t expect any. I’ll go ahead and predict 80% DJT hereabouts. Never did see any H/W signs.
The big news: Snow’s late – and the leaves on the trees are still greenish. Usually dropped and cleared up by this time. Water lines flushed out but still haven’t had a hard freeze. Any day now though.
    Life goes on.

    • Anne November 5, 2024, 8:54 PM

      Where are you DT?

      • DT November 6, 2024, 3:47 PM

west Idaho. county went better than 80% Trump.
First hard freeze (mid 20s) last night. Several weeks late this year

  • Anne November 5, 2024, 8:57 PM

It is a few minutes before 10PM. The polls here closed at 8PM it is being predicted that the whole ticket when RED with the exception of one of the people I really wanted to win– a Supreme Court Judge. The way it is playing out looks to me like some compromises have been put in place. But, I don’t care anymore. I used to but I don’t as long as my side is tough enough to win. That is a terrible thing to say and I am saddened to feel that way, but I have seen to much over the past 48 years!

  • John A. Fleming November 6, 2024, 12:53 AM

Well, it looks like when I see my brothers and sisters this next weekend I will be in a position of strength when they try to slip in those political barbs. They really can’t help themselves, they do it every time we meet. And I will just ignore them all and do a “How about them ‘Dawgs?” change of subject to more pleasant conversation.

Perhaps the wounds of their loss are still too raw, and they will appreciate a pleasant respite.

I don’t know, for the true believer a loss is only a temporary setback. They’re not wrong and never are, it’s just the rest of the world is stupidly not ready yet.

    • Snakepit Kansas November 6, 2024, 3:55 AM

The win was too big to rig!

I have a brother in law that is pretty far left. We all have an unspoken rule about not talking politics and everybody gets along great. He is a really good guy that works hard, is generous and treats my sister well. He and I went to see Joe Bonnamassa last August. So many things to do and talk about without interjecting politics.

  • ghostsniper November 6, 2024, 3:32 AM

OK, all the sane people in this country can exhale now.

BTW, don’t forget to install your “gloating hat” for all to see.

My Trump flag is still flying and will remain flying!!!!

My son in basic training wrote a letter home with some interesting observations:
      1. If you talk while at the mess hall you are wasting time because you don’t get much time to eat.
      2. Fire watch is BS. The floors are concrete and building is metal.
      3. On repelling, he went over the side immediately on command because he didn’t want to get hollered at.
      4. Those drills I gave him as a child on disassembly and reassembling the AR15 bolt group came in handy last week.
      5. You don’t walk anywhere, you always RUN!!!
      6. Haircuts and uniforms are not free. They are paid for out of the pay checks!

I expect he is doing well and will return a man.

      • ghostsniper November 6, 2024, 7:00 AM

        Snake sed:

My son in basic training wrote a letter home with some interesting observations:
        1. If you talk while at the mess hall you are wasting time because you don’t get much time to eat.

At Fort Knox if you yapped while eating you got assigned to DRO – Dining Room Orderly

        2. Fire watch is BS. The floors are concrete and building is metal.

It’s not about the fire. It’s about following orders. Most young folk have a problem with that.

        3. On repelling, he went over the side immediately on command because he didn’t want to get hollered at.

Repelling in Basic? We didn’t do that. But after 2 years in I did a course with the Rangers in Bad Tolz, Germany and we repelled. Yeah, even did the Australian Repel a couple times. Look it up.

        4. Those drills I gave him as a child on disassembly and reassembling the AR15 bolt group came in handy last week.

It’s an amazingly simple task, to field strip and AR, but then so is basic driving, and I found it shocking how many new recruits never did either. Out of 200+ in my basic unit only 3 of us knew how to drive and I was one of them.

        5. You don’t walk anywhere, you always RUN!!!

Drill SGT (yelling): “RECRUITS ONLY MOVE 2 WAYS HERE AT FORT KNOX, AT A FULL SPEED GALLUP, OR ON YOUR BELLY IN THE GUTTER.”

        6. Haircuts and uniforms are not free. They are paid for out of the pay checks!

In 74-78 haircuts were $1.50 and took about 2 mins to complete. The army paid us $6 a month for wear and tear compensation for our garments. We didn’t pay for the garments.

I expect he is doing well and will return a man.

I don’t know about all that “man” nonsense.
Being trapped in a gov’t enterprise while learning how to lie, cheat, steal, brown nose, and do as little as possible while bragging as much as possible, was counter productive to what a man is.

I suspect the things you taught and imparted on your son will have far more bearing on his overall life than anything he will learn in the military.

Since I DID do 4 years in that horrifying environ I went out of my way to teach my son how NOT to get involved in anything gov’t for it is the worst criminal enterprise the world has ever known.

Other than some advanced first aid courses I can honestly say my entire time in the army was a complete waste. Spending those 4 years in schooling and getting some actual beneficial OJT would have been better in the long run.
