You should email and give me more information about your order, since I don’t know your name. But I suspect you ordered a hardcover right around the time that the initial small run of hardcovers ran out but before I had placed a note to that effect on the website. However, I sent email notices on 11/7 to people in that situation. You should have gotten one. Perhaps it went to your spam folder? The new shipment of hardcover books should be arriving from the printer on Friday and should be mailed out within a day or two of that. At that point you should get an auto-generated email with a tracking number.
Been watching the weather for frost. Still getting chilis off my garden. Volunteer tomato is putting on fruit.

Veteran’s Day was good; I never watched a minute of Biden at Arlington. WE ate Beef Stew made from scratch in the big cast iron pot and some great Washington state cab sav.
No doubt we’re all on pins and needles watching Trump form his cabinet. The state of leadership in America is poor, and the varsity potential is thin. Trump was stabbed in the back from within his own team last time, and nobody wants a repeat of that. Choosing a republican is fraught with danger, which ought to tell you where we’re at for conservative leadership.
One good move under these circumstances would be for Trump to pick from the field grade ranks (meaning middle-level talent). They are competent, enthusiastic and some are altruistic. Good character is the foundational thing wanted. The flag rank candidates are tainted by corruption – they’ve been members of a congress of cut throats and robbers. Do not choose an FBI guy for FBI, nor a CIA guy for the CIA directorship. You need a clean-up guy in those agencies, and if possible, meaner than Trump himself.
I don’t generally like it when someone comes from outside of agriculture and wants to dictate the chemicals farmers use. Farmers are not idiots – American farmers have changed the world and hamstringing them is not the right move. But, I like Bobby Kennedy, in general, and I do agree with his agenda to clean up the health and our food supply in general.
General George Marshall spent the better part of 3 years, I think it was, cleaning house in the army. He started before we got in the war, and indeed he had a little black book noting who the talented officers were that he began early in his career. Dead wood was cleared out and guys like Eisenhower rose from the rank of lieutenant colonel to general in short order. Trump needs a Marshall to kick ass and take names.

I’ve been looking at some of these goings on and once again I am reminded how piss poor the whole thing is. Imagine being Trump and trying to pick the pepper out of the fly shit. The border czar looks promising, and RFKjr, but after that…I’m not impressed. But I’m optimistic.

330,000,000 of us trying to eke out a meager existence and a handful of asswipes with nothing better to do than get in our way everyway they can, and charge us out the ass to do so.
Seems like the criminals at the top exist to enable the criminals at all spectrums.
In the absence of the top criminals the peaceful, productive would routinely eliminate the spectrum level criminals as we find them and the rest of us could get on with the long term business of running our lives as we each see fit.
Seriously, I simply cannot afford, in time and money, the luxury and stupidity of supporting any sort of effort to “organize and represent” all of for such an effort is vane, fruitless, criminal, and unworthwhile to all but the parasite class.

Not a few hours after I wrote how Trump should pull a Marshall, and pick from the field grades, he literally picked an NG major for SecDef: Pete Hegseth! In army terms, a major is a field grade officer, and a colonel and above is called “flag rank”.

Speaking of the pentagon, the Navy CNO is back to her incompetent tricks, again. It’s no secret that when you see USAF bombers and support going all of a sudden to Qutar, that the military is filling in for the lack of a carrier in the region. This is at least twice now that she (I assume she’s called a she) failed to cover the areas of interest and action with the carriers.
Enjoying some clips of Hegseth sh!tting on the women in combat arms decision that Obama made. Also, we’re in an environment now, after Milley’s undermining of Trump, where the pentagon feels free to organize to countermand POTUS going forward. Add that, friends, to the handful of big states where the governors are plotting subterfuge against Trump vis. the border. Washington, California, Illinois (I think), New York…a confederacy of states plus the regular military hostile to the president of the united states.
