Who Am I? by Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
reading “Keep Off.”
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
in the universe.

Take It Where You Find It
Men saw the stars at the edge of the sea
They thought great thoughts about liberty
Poets wrote down words that did fit
Writers wrote books
Thinkers thought about it
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
Many’s the road I have walked upon
Many’s the hour between dusk and dawn
Many’s the time
Many’s the mile
I see it all now
Through the eyes of a child
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
And close your eyes
Leave it all for a while
Leave the world
And your worries behind
You will build on whatever is real
And wake up each day
To a new waking dream
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Change, change come over
Change come over
Talkin’ about a change
Change, change
Change come over, now
Change, change, change come over
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light
Not liking the upcoming inevitability, but I’m slowly moving laterally to https://newamericandigest.org/
see you there.
What I would like to know is where this picture was taken. Unique, breathtaking, lonely.
Mælifell is a volcano located in Southern Iceland. Mælifell stands 200 meters above its surroundings and it is a composite cone volcano formed by volcanic eruptions underneath the Myrdalsjökull glacier. Mælifell has surfaced ca 10,000 years ago as glaciers receded after the last ice age. Wikipedia
Trump promised pardons for January 6 rioters in ‘first hour’ of his second term. What might this mean?

Observers raise alarm about how pardons for convicted Capitol attackers might weaken US criminal justice system

It’s OK when the criminal gov’t employees use Lawfare for their own devices, but when the tables get flipped on them they whine like little gurlz, as expected. I think a few hundred beat asses is a good place to start.
Neo: Do you have a date for the shutdown of American Digest? Will the site go dark or just become inactive?
There’s a cinder cone in the middle of Craters Of The Moon Natl Monument lava field in Idaho that looks similar – not as dramatic though. The cone is not green but there’s a lone tree growing at the peak. It’s on my list of photos to post on the new site.

The chaparral is on fire just north of Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, and the Santa Ana winds are blowing NE to SW, peak wind still to come tonight. The fires have invaded the home areas. This could be very bad, Paradise CA bad. Some of you may know that PacPal is a very tony place in LA. Lots of rich people homes packed in cheek by jowl, surrounded by hillsides too steep to build on. Hillsides covered in chaparral brush.
Calfire has got every air tanker it can muster in the air. Zoom in on the interactive map.
What happened? Actually, what didn’t happen. The LA basin has got diddly squat, zero, nada, nuttin for rain so far this winter, and none is predicted for days and days yet. It hasn’t rained since April. The chaparral is all primed, dried out and ready to go. That’s why all the home insurance companies are pulling out of California, too many losses.
This doesn’t have anything to do with global climate change. It’s just weather. Two years ago Socal got 300% winter rainfall, last year 100%, this year so far nothing. It doesn’t have anything to do with the feckless grifters in Sacraspendo. This is the way of chaparral. Chaparral can survive dry winters and comes right back after fires. People? Maybe not so much.
Being a native of California–Pasadena to be exact–Long gone—it hurts every time I think of what the demoncrats have done to that beautiful state.
