Oasis: “There is the world dimensional for those untwisted by the love of things irreconcilable.”

Summer surprised us, coming over the Starnbergersee
With a shower of rain; we stopped in the colonnade,
And went on in sunlight, into the Hofgarten,
And drank coffee, and talked for an hour.
Bin gar keine Russin, stamm’ aus Litauen, echt deutsch.
And when we were children, staying at the arch-duke’s,
My cousin’s, he took me out on a sled,
And I was frightened. He said, Marie,
Marie, hold on tight. And down we went.
In the mountains, there you feel free.
I read, much of the night, and go south in the winter.

See if you can spot the rain chain.

Such a beautiful country and no need for Jordan Peterson: all their rooms are already tidy.

Knew a Swiss German guy emigrated to Australia. Could never get my head around that. Born a winner in life’s lottery and threw away the ticket.

Nice try but this cannot be real or legal. No Walmarts, heavy traffic, jillions of signs or the most important thing…..negroes! Where are the POC? lol

I needed that breath of fresh air after seeing the video of Aussie teens being beaten and thrown to the ground for the crime of not wearing a mask by police, some who also were maskless. How beautiful and free we once were to wander, before evil was unleashed upon us. Lord God have mercy upon us.

I do hope the Swiss never succumb to the rot infesting our world

When younger, all I could see was the mountains, and routes. Routes with stupid names, Like Ten C Tuxedo, and Groping for Oprah’s Navel. That;s a real one. You pad up smooth slabs that only sticky rubber shoes will ascend, and when the angle remits only a bit, at the top, there is a rock bowl on the belly, all brown and its an outie.

They said that once you started looking at the flowers, it was all over for you. Now, I look at flowers.

I love that last line about reading and winter. It borrows from Haiku. However, I love winter, so…

Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for posting. Not a freaky looking humanoid whatsoever.

My ancestry is mother’s side: Scots-Irish
Father’s: Welsh (his father) and Swiss (mother, 2nd generation immigrant)

I believe our Swiss were many assimilated Jews-to-Lutherans.
Fair amount of jewelers in the ranks. And hard-headed the lot.

My point, anyway, is it appears from the video the Swiss are as national flag crazy as we are.
    Not a bad thing.

Excellent but a bit dated book on the Swiss Army and the Swiss National Redoubt.

Zaphod, my father’s army division held the portfolio of contingencies should the Nazis have occupied an Alpine Redoubt.

I recall a foto, perhaps from the above mentioned book of a cave built into a mountainside with its entrance camouflaged with a curtain of chain. I’m thinking this was illustrating a case of the Swiss drawing down the scope of their defenses.
