Noted in Passing: The Dual Track Option in Ukraine

@DavidSacks: Republicans should start using the words “dual track” or “parallel track” to describe their position on Ukraine.

Meaning: they support military aid for Ukraine but also a diplomatic track to end the conflict before it can escalate into Biden’s “Armageddon.”

This is where the majority of the country is. And after the Progressive Caucus retracted its own tepid suggestion for a dual track, the territory is wide open for Republicans to own.

The administration’s position is now:
1. There will be no diplomatic track.
2. Military aid will be virtually unlimited and go on forever.
3. Only Zelensky can decide when and how the war ends.
4. Even though (according to Biden) the war could escalate into Armageddon.

This is despite the fact that most Americans support the US pursuing diplomatic negotiations to end the war, even if it means Ukraine has to make some compromises with Russia.

The 30 “moderates” of the CPUSA had to retract their recommendation for a Brandon summit with Pooty Poot and will be re-educated in a vigorous struggle session. (sarc)
That is so cute and precious when people still put faith in the Grand Old Politburo or a ballot box.
The horse has left the barn and it is on fire, time to move on from comforting fairy tales.

I think a lot of people are wanting to move on but are waiting for direction.
The direction to the cattle cars?

If 57% of Americans support negotiations over more combat, what is the percentage of Europeans who support diplomacy? What will it be in mid January when its 30 degrees colder than it is now? And what percentage of Americans would support more war if they understood that the areas Russia “invaded” are overwhelmingly inhabited by Russian speakers
This idiocy by our Child Sniffer in Chief is going to break NATO and bring on Worst economic situation since the Great Depression

And for what? We cant beat the Russians in their own backyard. They were beating the Ukrainians with 10% of their Armed Forces. And they have a game changer of an air defense system that cant be defeated. Their ADA missiles are several orders of magnitude superior to any weapon system we have

This is a madness that tops any lunacy seen in WWI and most of WWII. Hitler seemed mad for invading Russia, but he damned near pulled it off! By late October, after an astonishing series of victories by the Germans, it was the consensus world wide that the USSR was finished.

Russians were only saved by a weather phenomenon that turns roads and fields into surfaces so muddy you cant even walk in it. Germans simply did not understand the severity of the problem, that it would stop EVERYTHING. Had they really understood and accounted for it in their planning, they would have won

Lennie, isn’t that the stated goal?

  • Casey Klahn October 25, 2022, 10:58 PM

It seems to me that one can only negotiate from a leg-up position.

This would be your dual track.

BTW, that fukn Biden is crazy as shit; no telling what he’ll do.

The question, now (all BS aside) is what will Russia do for the Winter? They don’t defend their gains from the Dnieper River’s edge, nukes are not plausible to use, and NATO has a hard on to defend itself.

Do you want to avoid WWIII? Then by all means place a boot on Putin’s яички. Don’t go the PM Chamberlain route.

The only dog we have in this fight is our dear leaders – on both sides of the isle – don’t want Putin to uncover what we’ve done in Ukraine. We should pull out completely and let Putin destroy NATO military in Ukraine. He’ll stop when he’s punished the Western Aggression AKA “what we’ve done in Ukraine”. We anons should realize that Putin is on the same side we are on… take down the Deep State.

This is Lev Brontein’s old war on Russia just as his friends are mopping up in their war with the West.
