Noted in Passing: Presidential Cheat Sheet

The prepared instructions for Biden — titled “Offshore Wind Drop-By Sequence of Events” — tell Biden to “enter the Roosevelt Room and say hello to participants.”
Then, the paper says, “YOU take YOUR seat.”
The typed-up note says that after reporters arrive, “YOU give brief comments (2 minutes).”
When reporters depart, “YOU ask Liz Shuler, President, AFL-CIO, a question” and then “YOU thank participants” and “YOU depart.”

$100 says he screwed it up anyway.

This is the last time his handlers will forget to add:
    • YOU don’t turn THIS CARD toward the camera.

George Carlin once asked, “Suppose a guy is really really stupid, and then he becomes senile… how do you know?”

Yeah, all I’ve seen so far is vintage Biden coming from a decrepit remnant.

Whatever. I’m popping popcorn for tonight’s woksters turn-around from “Jan 6th!” to “burn the capitol!” If irony is comedy, this is a big joke.

Sometimes I wish I lived in a different time.

    Dear Ghostie,
So do all who live to see such times; but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil.
    Best Wishes,

I have often wished I lived in my grandparents’ time. My people did not have indoor plumbing and they wrestled their living from the dirt and bones of the good earth, but they had peace, family, and joy — in other words, the life of the love of God. Then I am forced to ask myself how I can fight the noisome darkness around me, even just a little bit. Rejecting despair, it’s all there is to do.

Reject despair. Embrace hope. Move to higher ground.

I LOVE todays challenges, while many bad things have happened to me, many good things as well. I would not change a thing. Living fully is excepting the responsibilities of our best and worst selves.

It is these experiences which make us exactly who we are this day, at this time.

    Mr V

Thanks … if only that song had a groove …

I will speak for him that cannot.

This sort of guide sheet is entirely normal for high-ranking headliners at such events. Usually they are not written in second-grade language, but Joe never has been the sharpest tool.

Trump didn’t need one, he can walk into any room and take charge. But I watched him on The Apprentice ream out a young business pro who didn’t have one ready at a big social event which was a mask for a business event. The top folks should never have a moment’s doubt about where they should go next. And Trump was entirely correct.

And geez, watch him on The Apprentice! Sure there’s ginned up tension. But week after week Trump delivered sensible, practical lessons, and refused to tolerate la caca del toro. I think Trump and Elon Musk are alike in many ways. They are thinking three moves ahead of everyone else, but they know most people can’t do that.

Absolutely when I worked in business and had meeting I had a cheat sheet, BUT the difference is I made it myself to remind me of talking points so I was sure to cover them. It wasn’t created by my handler because I was incompetent to do anything without it.
