Dirk, I’m very familiar with Levin. Good talker, civic nationalist. Civic nationalist are living in the past. How far in the past? 1860 past. The left, like the weasel, has sucked the egg dry leaving only the shell. Civic nationalist worship the shell while actual governance continues to metastisize. Reforming what all experience demonstrates to be unreformable is running errands for the left. Levin was a Never Trumper but he conveniently wiped that from his memory.
Instead, simply ask yourself, what would the men who actually designed this government say? The Federalist, and the anti-Federalist, who since it is now forgotten were equally brilliant. Gravitated to AD, for all the obvious good things going on here. GV’s a genius. I find Levin centers on Constitution related solutions. I’m am still a huge support of the constitution, believe that single document is the solution.
