Noted In Passing: GOP to make sure you can’t vote your way out of this

Nolte: Ukraine War Fever Could Kill GOP Midterm Chances   The GOP is on the cusp of not just a red wave, but a generational political realignment, and this is when we start flirting with the 100 percent failure rate of neoconism?

When the Biden White House sounds more sensible than some in our party and some of our most popular talking heads… That’s scary.

We can all see it… The most dangerous thing imaginable is already here… A moral panic where everyone tries to prove their anti-Putin purity through more and more extremism until America is once again killing hundreds of thousands of civilians in a war we’re eventually going to lose anyway. And it’s all being ginned up by a D.C. War Machine that can never get rich enough and a corporate media that put ratings above human life.

We cannot fall for this.

I hope and pray Putin is humiliated in Ukraine. Nothing would make me happier. And I sympathize entirely with Ukraine doing everything in its power, including lying, to get some outside help and save itself from annihilation. But that doesn’t blind me to the fact that 1) Putin has nukes and 2) now that the U.S. military is fully-Vindman’d, we don’t win wars.

So let me say this to the GOP… It’s a trap, dummies! It’s a neocon/MSM/Democrat trap built by people who could not care less about Ukraine. To them, this war is just a convenient way to move their hate/blacklisting/virtue-signaling supremacism to another cause now that the COVID moral panic has run its course.

YOURS.

Would that the GOP “cannot” fall for this. They certainly should not, but the serious people are in short supply.

  • Richard March 5, 2022, 9:14 AM

Yep, leave it to the GOP to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. It’s become apparent over the years that Republicans prefer to be the party out of power. Just lots of posturing, but never anything accomplished.
Meanwhile, just in time to cash in on 2024 (if not sooner), that never-ending case of genital herpes is fixing to flare-up again. This time – now that those troublesome elections are a thing of the past – it’s in the bag.

If the US gets into a war in Ukraine, the more important war for the .gov will be against the American people. This may be the driving force behind the scenes now. All this fear is well planned for some serious outcome that has nothing to do with Ukraine.

In my little mind, things are going to get very difficult, very soon.

    Stay tough. Be vigilant.

We were never going to ‘vote’ our way out of this.
When the incredible report came out in the vote fraud in WI did the mobs form and march to Town Hall and drag the Damn Machines from Hell … AND the Town Clerk out into the town square and burn them both? No. Did they even march up and down with threatening signs demanding action? No.
Will they sit through the same clown fire drill next November, and the next? Yes.

I came to the same conclusion after the last election was stolen and nothing happened. I will no longer participate in this political farce but rather spend what time I have left preparing for the Fourth Turning.

So now the puffy-faced eunuch Lindsay Graham and that incessant yapper Sean Hannity—both of whom could use some gym time—have come out for the assassination of Putin. A truly brilliant move. Out of all the people on earth, Vladimir Putin is one of the very, very few that you should never threaten to kill. Once those two idiots calm down a bit they will realize that for the rest of their lives they can never sleep soundly again. They will come to fear the dark and to imagine unknown terrors in every shadow.

Graham has already backtracked a bit, and soon enough so will Hannity. Too late for both, I’m afraid. Russians have long memories. And sometimes, stupidity has a price.

Michael Corleone in “Godfather Part 2” said to Tom Hagen that if the 20th century taught us anything, it is that anyone can be killed. Well, no; it taught nothing of the sort. Imagine trying to kill Stalin or Mao at the height of their power. Killing the powerful has always been an immensely difficult task. And those two big-mouthed and soft-gutted jackasses Graham and Hannity should read this well-titled article, “Here’s how Putin protects himself from assassins and coup plots.”

      https://nypost.com/2022/03/04/heres-how-putin-protects-himself-from-assassins-and-coups/

When Graham and Hannity came out for the killing of Putin, they did not mean that they would undertake this task themselves. Oh no; Oh Hell no. They want someone else to take every single risk of trying to do so.

Our entire ruling class is composed of cowardly and flabby female dogs. They beg—and deserve—extinction.

Good points. Remember we tried to assassinate Fidel Castro multiple times, and how’d that work out? Generally, our attempts at regime change have resulted in less than good results most recently in places like North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Doesn’t seem like a good bet to double down now by targeting Putin.

          P.S., my add.

        Mike,
Similarly to all the politicians demanding that guns be taken away from the public by force. Who wants to be on the team that goes house to house to collect guns? Nobody.

If Beto wants to come to my house for my gun, I will give him my address.

        • Mike Austin March 6, 2022, 7:19 AM

Of all the faces I see on the web, that Beto poseur has the most punchable one. What a weakling.

      • Mike Austin March 6, 2022, 7:17 AM

Pompous blowhard Mark Levin has joined the chorus advocating the murder of Putin.

And another thing…if this miscreant is “for it”, I’m reflexively “against it”, until I am persuaded otherwise. https://tinyurl.com/2w55yr2w

The sane freedomists are being dragged along in the criminal slipstream.
We’re caught in the middle, criminals within and criminals without.
We need to hunker down in our compounds with guns that shoot in both directions at the same time.
A good shooter is no good without a good loader.
The loaders head is on a swivel while his hands work their muscle memory magic, his eyes are periphery, seeing everything at once and continuous. The shooters eyes are laser beam focused on the targets he dispatches. The team.

With some exceptions, the GOP is just a collective jellyfish bloom, dependent on the cultural currents determined by the dems. If they retake the Congress in both houses, and they’re not forced to evolve by us, they’ll never grow a spine.

  • Andy Texan March 5, 2022, 9:25 PM

As everyone gets an opinion, I think President Putin is doing the Lord’s work in this instance. I would trade every single jack-o-lantern in DC for one Putin. President Trump could take some direction if he gets another chance.

    • MikeAustin March 6, 2022, 1:12 PM

True that. Take a look at the “elites”—the Pelosis, the Kerrys, the Bidens, the Romneys—who condemn Putin. These wicked deceivers and blasphemers and traitors hate him, not for what he has done, but for what he is. When Putin says that Moscow is the 3rd Rome, he means what he says. Washington DC is the Whore of Babylon.

Have we put sanctions on the Russian Mafia that lives/works right here on the east coast of this country? Why haven’t we been able to rid ourselves of the Russian Mafia?
Second question: Shall we take a look at Chelsea Clinton’s husband?

Yes, I know he should not be blamed for his father’s crimes, however this kid himself has had rumors flying around Wall Street for years.

Third: it may be impossible to assassinate a thug like Putin, but it is much easier to start calling out and confronting the Hunter Bidens, Marc Mezvinskis–anyone who has a past history of trading with Russia, or doing business in Ukraine. The way to clean up this country is to start digging deep and going public with the information regarding the profiteering done by people in the Democratic party. Those same people who are still trying to bankrupt an ex president.
You are right the Republican party is pretty useless.
