Who Am I? by Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.

My feet are on the hilltops.

My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
universal life.

Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
destiny.

I have been to hell and back many times.

I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.

I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.

I know the passionate seizure of beauty

And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
reading “Keep Off.”
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
 in the universe.

The Vault
Take It Where You Find It
Men saw the stars at the edge of the sea
They thought great thoughts about liberty
Poets wrote down words that did fit
Writers wrote books
Thinkers thought about it
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
Many’s the road I have walked upon
Many’s the hour between dusk and dawn
Many’s the time
Many’s the mile
I see it all now
Through the eyes of a child
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
Lost dreams and found dreams
In America
In America
In America
And close your eyes
Leave it all for a while
Leave the world
And your worries behind
You will build on whatever is real
And wake up each day
To a new waking dream
Take it where you find it
Can’t leave it alone
You will find a purpose
To carry it on
Mainly when you find it
Your heart will be strong
About it
[Chorus]
Change, change come over
Change come over
Talkin’ about a change
Change, change
Change come over, now
Change, change, change come over
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I’m gonna walk down the street
Until I see
My shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light
I see my light
See my light
See my shining light

Time passes by oh-so-quickly, but a moment of kindness can last forever in the human heart.
In Japan—of course. Where they have respect for the older generation. Here in the FUSA? There is ZERO respect for age, wisdom and experience in this Cult of Porn society we’ve created.
Maybe where you live. Here in the deepest south, far from Atlanta, I’m always having Lowes fellow shoppers help me load lumber carts, load my truck etc. One of the few good things about being 91.
Cyrillic letters; is Russian, I think.
Usually, they show babushka being assisted across the square in a live firefight.
It’s no problem.
Good catch Casey.
I looked up that van at the end, yes, Russian.

Nice, but is it even real? Or staged. So hard to trust anything on the interwebz these days.
Even if it’s staged, it’s a damn good movie.
Ya, it’s easy to be cynical about the video, in these times. Thinking it was staged,or maybe the guy who shot the video was a pervy voyeur… But I’m going with my first thought; that it’s nice to see there’s still some good in the world, and we need to see more of this sort of thing.
I saw a sight recently that really choked me up. One Boy Scout took the time to help all the Rolling Stones cross the street.
BEAUTIFUL !!
The way we should all care about each other.

“We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand watch as our guardians in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm. A soldier must seize every advantage to defeat his opponent. He must strike swiftly and strike hard… he who dares… wins. But under all circumstances those guardians must stand ready to protect the innocent and those too weak to defend themselves…”

Yet another example of white privilege, I’m sure.
KINDNESS NEVER FAILS
I wonder whether an equally old man would have got similar help.
Why wouldn’t an old and teetering fellow NOT be helped across the street? Be the example of human compassion within and pay no regard to what others might or might not do.
I want to live in a world where kindness like that is commonplace.
It begins with each of us.
