Noted in Passing: Cry What Beloved Country? [Updated w/ Amazon Commercial]

In other news, it would seem that South Africa’s “grand experiment” in harmonious co-existence is coming to an end.

Shopkeepers fire on looters to protect their businesses as South Africa deploys troops to curb riots

South Africa is in the grip of its worst unrest since the end of apartheid with shopkeepers firing at looters and a woman throwing her baby from a burning mall roof as violence sparked by the jailing of ex-president Jacob Zuma entered its fifth day today.

From the second video: “No time to play here. We have to do what we have to do.”

Will true Americans do what we have to do?

  • Geo July 13, 2021, 10:01 AM

Are you sure this is South Africa?

I thought I saw this taking place in Saint Louis, L.A., NYC, Baltimore and several other U.S. cities, just recently.

    Quite a resembalance…..=’s
    common denominator

The Pavement Ape at the highest point in his evolution. And just think, our homeboys are far more motivated and organized, better equipped and filled with hatred than their lil cuzins in SA.

And from the American news media, almost nothing.
    Doesn’t fit the narrative?

  • Casey Klahn July 13, 2021, 11:46 AM

These things fit the Commie agenda; they are the direct action phase of their revolutionary plan. It requires nuance to thread the needle. To not give them what feeds them.
Skip the police, and go straight to the green berets. Not kidding here.
So far, we and the world, as illustrated by SA here, are flunking the test. We suck, badly.
Here’s a question for the esteemed group. Is it better to quell a riot a the beginning, or after it reaches full mass? This is obvious, of course. All your life, you heard it said that war is the last resort. A thinking man knows that this isn’t true. The timing of war needs to match the objectives and the window for success.
    Out here.

Another rich prize for the Chinese to scoop up.
If the Africans thought it was bad being ruled by the Europeans, wait till they are under the Chinese yoke. Who won’t be bringing missionaries.

Don’t take your eye off the ball.

South Africans here in US see the early signs of same rot and rioting by BLM as a direct warning sign.

  • Rev.Bro. Generik Broderick July 13, 2021, 1:56 PM

    Mostly peaceful rioting and looting?

  • Casey Klahn July 13, 2021, 5:39 PM

One of the last big riots in Seattle had Lefty ransacking the Amazon Go and the Starbucks along their route. Lefty vs Lefty. Not a surprise, given communist history and how their revolutions unfold.

I watched Mr. Reagan, a young conservative on YouTube, whose recent episode details how the (Foxtrot Bravo India) was top to bottom involved in the 1/6 riot. The op was designed to bolster the deepstate, and atritt Trump and white righty. IOW: Americans. The Stazi has nothing on those sonsabitches. One note from the episode is how every front line leader in the riot was compromised or tended 1:1 by a G man.

    Just watch your back, Homes.

Casey sez: “Just watch your back, Homes.”

No backs here, all fronts, Cribz.

Sort of like San Francisco? Huh?

  • RL Homer July 13, 2021, 11:55 PM

SA is making Rhodesia look great, which in many ways it was. The corruption of BLM and the current South African ‘gov’t’ is not surprising at all. Baltimore, Atlanta, San Francisco etc, all democrat run cities resemble South African cities. Joebama approved. Best bait for jungle bunny season, Target and Walgreen’s inventory.

    A MIRACLE just happened.

As we Ohioans have been enjoying a wave of huge rain storms lately (while the western states are in a “Mega Drought”) we’ve also been blessed with some massive, magnificent thunderstorms- without any of the flooding and destruction like in NY and NJ.

As a matter of fact, some of our thunderstorms actually attack liberalism!
It’s TRUE- there was a mural honoring that dead, despicable Felonious Fentanyl Floyd on a brick wall in Toledo, Ohio, and it was hit (dead center of Floyd’s face) with a bolt of lightning that was so powerful, it not only destroyed the mural, it also destroyed the brick wall it was painted on!

Looks like God has had it with Libtards, and is giving them subtle hints that he’s pissed at them.

South Africa went from being a disgustingly racist sh!thole to an equally disgustingly racist sh!thole, this time the racism going the other way, in one generation.

I wouldn’t buy South African produce or wine before, and I still won’t.

This is a black preacher who has a church in Harlem. He discusses black men’s behavior during disasters, compared to the Japanese at the time of the tsunami a few years ago.

I spent five days in SA in 2002. Long story but I was able to go hunt there on the cheap after nobody would bid on a dark continent hunting trip at a Quails Unlimited banquet. $1,200 all inclusive. The local wine was good. I had to pay for air fare which was about another $1,000. $2,200 out of pocket an that gets me to Johannasberg with a very high powered rifle. Yeah, I killed a zebra and black wildebeest. Poverty in the province was horrid and I have seen poverty in a handful of third world countries prior and since. Therefore, with no work opportunities to make a better life, something like looting a half dozen bananas doesn’t seem so outrageous.

    Margot,

Pretty sure that’s Pastor David Manning. Check out his rants from 10 years ago on Obama, they’re wonderful.
