Congrats are in order, I presume? Sorry, I confess to Jones-ing for your posts, but have been able to survive on the postings from blogs pointed out on these pages. Every day, read; every day, learn...
This is absolutely terrific. Congratulations to Pajamas Media.
I am looking forward to your influence at Pajamas Media. I followed closely the birth of PJM and given the talent gathered, have felt that it never quite lived up to the hype. Maybe it was just my hope that it would immediately take the new media world by storm that left me a little disappointed.
Seeing that frog eyed idiot Zuniga appoint himself the new Democratic king maker at Yearly Kos has given me hope that perhaps once again the Dems will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and marginalize themselves to the extent that many will say "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it any more!" and will then come on over to PJM with those of us that have already had it with both parties and see what you all are up to.
You've got my attention.
This is great! Pajamas Media gets better and better.
Congratulations...and thanks for the link.
Keep churning your archive. There is enough there to keep new readers happy a long time.
Those of us who have read something before will enjoy the re-run and still anticipate new pearls as they come along.
Ah ha! This accounts for the sudden escalation in the wit department at Pajamas. This is the way to run circles around the lumbering, slow-witted MSM. Smarter, faster, hipper, wittier, better writing and more substance. Soon the MSMistry of Truth won't have a legacy to stand on.
What? The MSM has let another treasure slip out of their big studios and into comfy pajamas?
Better proof could never be devised that they are indeed idiots of the most comprehensive sort. Someday the confluence of this event with the demotion of Couric to the Anchor Chair will be seen as no accident.
GO GO GO GERARD!
Gerard Vanderleun and Pajamas Media. That's gonna kink somebody's knickers.
This is great news indeed--I cannot think of a more qualified candidate for this esteemed position--which may be faint praise indeed, since I can't think of any other candidates, qualified or not, for such a position. But I'm sure you're the best, regardless.
Seriously, though, I anticipate a major quality uptick at PJM as a result. Congratulations--and go treat yourself to a brand new pair of pajamas...
One set of pajamas for another?
PJM has legs now.
At last, I have a reason to look into the whole PJM phenomenon. Until now, it was ephemera.
I've already got the Pajamas Media RSS feed importing into my forum (along side American Digest, American Spectator, Winds of Change, Opinion Journal, and Villainous Company). My members and I are eagerly looking forward to seeing your influence there.
Top of the world, huh Gerard? We all knew you had it in you.
And, yes, I am posting this in my pajamas.
Would you be willing to describe the pattern thereupon? Maybe we should have to guess. I'm going with the Grateful Dead teddy bear, laying dead on the ground with a spear sticking out of it.
Oooo I love this thread, Uncle Mikey. What pajamas are most suitable for our most or least favorite bloggers and other personalities? We stipulate of course that less than full cover-up is not in the spirit, and try to express through design, fabric and color the essence of the pajama wearer.
I can start by admitting that one of my own favorite pairs is a flannel sock monkey print in Williamsburg Blue. I see Ace in black silk with crossed swords embroidered all over. DailyKos of course wears Hello Kitty in noxious lime green to help him be in touch with his lickspittle gay-friendly little girl vulnerabilities. Neo, maybe some patriotic red white and blue plaid flannel, so impossible for a good liberal Jewish Girl and so right for her now.
I'm not brave enough to put forth any ideas about Gerard here on his own turf. Except to note that Winston Churchill wore a fabulous imperial burgundy wool robe of classic design and stately proportions, with hand turned corded edges and silk lining, and that if writing were pajamas......
Throw Russia and China into the mix of unknown factors and the plot thickens.
Thanks for the compliments. But it is, as you know, a team effort.
