"OKAY, TELL ME AGAIN why we are not joining up our armed forces with those of Isreal and killing these people wholesale?"
Something tells me that is what will be coming soon. I think all of the public condemnation we're seeing in the US right now is because the public hasn't yet accepted the fact that we are "in a war". They know we are in Iraq, but they don't consider that a war. Something will happen -- perhaps the behedding of an american will go a long way in this - to make the public sit up, notice what is going on and join their country rather than gripe about should we be there. It takes a lot to motivate the american public and get them on the same page, but once you do it's god help whoever is on the other side.
What a sad time we are living in.Iam beginning to believe that are countries time is growing near.We have lost sight of the true meaning of America and the constitution with each politician that oozes into office. We have become a evil immoral country, selfish and Godless. When we lost God we lost are great nation.True we still have a better system then most but it seems as the years go by that we become just as evil and immoral as these other countries. We just do things in a different way,as if to appear that were not barbaric, but arent we?We do things in the shadows, not to be seen or heard .God sees all these things.Maybe Gods mercy is running out for us,maybe are hour is approaching. My prayer is that instead of using the tradgedy of that poor man being beheaded to fuel public support for this War,that we will take a closer look at what are country is doing to other countries as well. How does are country treat other prisoners? We already know that answer. Is one group, one evil deed ,justification of continuing this war?
Why are we not joining forces with the country that pitted us against the Middle Easterners, in the first place?
If it weren't for Israel, there would be no Hamas, no Hezbollah, and no anti-Americanism in the Middle East.
Why do you act as though these people owe you an explanation for resisting with all means at their disposal, their occupiers?
They are under military occupation by an enemy.
What do you expect them to do, cooperate with the occupier?
They don't owe anyone an explanation. Each owes the world their death. Soon.
...since you are an expert on how to deal with a military occupation (of your own country, for example), and disapprove of these methods, pray tell us how you would deal with it?
I'm sure the Palestinians would be interested.
