"They obey the elaborate etiquette of Washington high society — always speak with moderate temperament and inflection; never show anger, never insult, curse, yell, or whine; never make the political personal (remember, your opponents are all good, decent men who are trying their best!) and never, ever raise serious questions about a rival’s competence, motives, or agenda. He speaks and reacts like a normal American, who do, in fact, insult, curse, yell, and whine quite frequently last time I checked."
Its a shame Rodney Dangerfield is gone. He'd be a shoo-in for a movie about Trump entering politics.
Imagine what he'd do... ;)

The more I see of Donald Trump, the more I like him.
It's gonna either be Trump, or one of the carreer politicians who have made this country the total mess it's become.
Is he successful, though? I've read pieces which suggest that if he'd simply invested his inherited money in the S&P500 he'd be worth considerably more (and presumably that money would have gone to support more effective businesses).
Is Dan a communist?
I mean, he seems to know what Trump should have done more than Trump himself.
Or is Dan a rumor monger?
Dan's so successful that he gets to school a very successful man that may be his next prez.
Maybe Dan's a comedian.....
>quintessentially American success story
Real Estate? You have got to be kidding. Edison, Carnegie, Watson, Jobs, those are quintessentially American success stories. Real estate is all about local politics and comes with an odor of corruption. Success story, maybe, but of a quintessentially blue state urban variety.
Chuck: I think the story is referring to making it the old fashioned way -- rather than through lining one's own pockets off the taxpaying dime. And if you have news of Trump's corrupt real estate deals, out with it, man. We need to know. It's a coward's way to make allusions or smear someone's good name without a scintilla of proof, you know.
(Good story, Mr. V.)
Just emulating my hero, Trump. But I do know that Trump both used and championed imminent domain, see here, I would have been very surprised if he hadn't.
And don't tell me Malkin is GOPe.
Okay. What did he do that was corrupt and illegal?
What does illegal have to do with it? City politics is all about connections and quid pro quo. Building permits, property acquisition, tax dispensations, etc. That's the odor of corruption I refer too. I don't like it and it isn't something I'd celebrate as quintessentially American. YMMV.
Lemme get this straight Chuck.
Criminals try to charge you ransom so that you can use your property as you see fit.
You find a way to circumvent the criminals, keeping more of your property as a result, and this is corruption on your part?
Are you of the mindset that "If I have to pay, EVERYBODY has to pay?"
Donald trump inherited a fortune. He grew up in a wealthy family. I'm voting for him because he pisses off everyone I like to see getting upset, but admire someone born on the 10 yard line of life? I'd take the same deal in a hot heartbeat, but what is there to emulate?
Since you appear to know so much about real estate and local politics Chuck, you might want to start using the term eminent domain. It leaves a better impression.
How the . ? ? what the . ? ? Sorry for double posting.
Yup, the honorable thing for Trump to have done would’ve been to take his inheritance and…live off it.
Or better yet, spend it all on hookers and blow.
Instead he used it to buy real estate, build, and start successful businesses. Most in NY City.
What a dumbass. No taste in women either.
Trump vibes: winner. it's that simple.
Ghostsniper - I fear you're taking potshots at shadows. No, I'm not a communist, I'm a right wing libertarian. Nor is it rumour mongering to ask questions about Trump's business acumen.
I think Trump is a liar and a fraud and a Democrat in threadbare Republican garb, but this appears to apply to all politicians (at least, the first two do) so maybe it's irrelevant.
Let me ask you: are you paid by Trump to carry out personal attacks on anyone who questions his record?
Arthurstone, how might it make you feel if Trump gets in?
