Comments: "The only solution for the Muslim threat is to kill every last one of them."

The basic problem is the ideology, the principles enunciated in the Koran and Sunna, and expressed in Sharia codes of right and wrong conduct -- and supported by all the main Islamic schools of law.

Until that ideology is effaced, new generations of maiming, murderous Islamists will rise up for their rewards in Paradise and on earth [plunder, rape, power]. Being killed in this effort yields rewards to the believer, making the heinous effort worthwhile.

We are engaged in a 100-year war, minimum. And most of us don't know we are at war and are losing.

The real problem is that civilization has produced vaccines, indoor pluming, exponential advances in medicine, farming, and industry, and civilization has then seen to it that even a stone age ideology can multiply itself by ten or twenty or one hundred, without ever multiplying it's understanding. And so they have. Not satisfied with that, we then have save the world concerts to send them more food and medicine and they double themselves once again. This problem is at heart a byproduct of civilization which is both thoughtless and grandiose. You may wish to attempt exterminating a billion or so brutes, but it might be more productive to hang a few hundred progressives. For some reason we think it easier to do the former than the latter, and perhaps that is so.

Their secret weapon is that Allah saw fit to put a lot of oil under their barren deserts. Of course they would not have been able to tap those reservoirs without Western companies doing the exploration work. Then, of course, the Muslims nationalized their oil and the West, full of good intentions, didn't protest. Until recently that oil was the lifeblood of much of Europe and other more advanced countries. The policy since WWII has been to keep the oil flowing at all costs. Thus, the Muslims have gotten enough money to give them dreams of expanding the ummah. Something no one dreamed they would try back in the 50s and 60s when they expropriated the oil fields. They have been at war with us since at least 1979, but the policy of keeping the oil flowing at all costs has been one reason we have not defended ourselves with any vigor. The other reasons are the concepts of "just war," "measured response," "international opinion," and the progressive belief that the U.S. is a war mongering country.

With the U.S. ramping up production and Russia with a lot of oil for sale, the Islamic oil becomes less necessary.

The open enmity of most of the ummah is seen by the progressives as no big threat and even warranted because of past "injustices." They consider the Islmists to be as mosquitoes which can be swatted away as necessary. Little attention is paid to the fact that they fully intend to get nukes and use them on us. How many more people (on both sides) will have to die before the American people finally demand that the government do its job of protecting and defending us? My guess is too many. And then it may be a problem because the military has been cut to the bone.

Chas has the solution. War is too awful to be done half way. Go to it full bore and defeat them as quickly as possible. (We beat two very powerful countries in WWII in 4 years, 10 months by committing to total war.) It's more humane - both for our side and for the enemy. But the progressives want to treat it as a bloodless law enforcement procedure. And that is why it will last a long time.

Killing all of them down to the last breathing remnant of Islam is only the first step. Afterward, every vestige of their existence should be destroyed, burned and buried or shoved into the ocean to make structure for fish.

Add to that pile of crap all of the supportive muslim sympathizers where ever they are known to be or later found.

This will no doubt seem off-topic to some, but....

I am currently re-reading Robert Ruark's Uhuru, a novel from 1962 set in post-Mau Mau Kenya. Ruark was very good at describing what he saw, both from the perspective of white European settlers and even newly-"civilized" black African politicians.

The situation over 50 years ago in Africa was in many ways identical to the world situation now: primitive believers in black magic being stirred up and used as cannon fodder in support of the unspeakable fantasies of the leftists, both Marxists and bleeding-hearts too stupid to recognize their own best interests.

You younger folks ought to take the opportunity to read some fiction from earlier days, if only to experience how much your own perceptions were once almost universally accepted as common sense. It's an eye-opener, for sure.
