Is the present trajectory we are on, including the debt-serfdom that the Founders did not anticipate, so clearly dangerous to our liberty and prosperity that it is time to start talking about must be changed when we hold a Constitutional Convention?
The Declaration is not enshrined in the Constitution. This was an inadvertant oversight by the Founders, who thought that the spirit of the first document would be "self-evident" in the second. "Self-evident" no longer works in our dunce-ridden modern society. The Declaration of Independence should be embedded in the Constitution via an amendment. Said amendment will state that the meaning and spirit of the Declaration are as one with the meaning and spirit of the Constitution. This will make it harder for malicious politicians, lawyers, activists and judges to twist the meaning of the Constitution.
