Why has the Australian government allowed the population of a large pest to increase to over a million? Overprotection, perhaps?

I prefer the Hollywood method of just paying a guy to pay another guy to pretend to plant a tree someplace.

So, for liberals, culling is bad... until it's good? I guess the Palin-haters can lay off the attacks on her re: hunting. Caribou farts must be pretty bad for the environment as well. What did I read (and where?) that biodegradable materials produce Carbon? Environmentalists are chasing their own freaking tails.

Fortunately this wretched excuse for a Federal government is about on the same time table to destruction as the current US administration, and if anything its demise will be even more spectacular. We had a preview in the NSW state election just recently.
